Thanks for this advice. Really helpful. I've replied to Gemmels post too. If you are able to advise on the VAt situation also please do. Thanks.

I'm presuming I can find invoice outlays online somewhere... I have been sending all CVs in PDF also so saving an invoice to PDF shouldnt be a problem. You mentioned the other thing I forgot to mention... VAT. Should I not be charging VAT. As a company I am obviously not VAT registered so I'm guessing not. Will this raise any problems at the clients end? Thanks. Gumtree and then Total Jobs by the way.

A couple of years ago I opened a recruitment company (I say opened, I opened a Bank account under the companies name and got some letter headed paper made!) and shortly after was offered a full time job in online recruitment for a major job board. Because of this the recruitment company never really got off the ground. In the last couple of days however a couple of Red hot vacancies have fallen at my lap. Both are desperate to be filled by the end of the week. I found a couple of candidates for both roles and have had 2 interviews take place already with another 2 to follow this afternoon. My "client" wants to offer a role to one of my candidates and is willing to pay me £2,500 for her services. Not bad for about an hours work on my part. Does anyone with experience of providing professional services (whatever they may be) know what the procedure is with regard to invoicing? Do I have to send a professional looking invoice or can I just break down the costs on email. The "client" is a very professional investment brokerage in Central London so I will imagine they will want all their paper work in order. Is anyone able to advise me on how I should proceed with this? Many thanks, Sam (bosa75)

Slight Return to this day is probably still my all time favourite tune.

I used to live in Denia, Spain and there is a Chinese Restaurant there called 'Wan Ke Longs'. I also used to live on Holland Road in Kensington and there was a garage and carwash called 'The Hand Job Centre'. Picture of sign here:

He's a good player and has lot of potential but if he was coming through at Walsall there probably wouldnt be such a great big clamour for him. The fact is there is prestige now for any kds showing promise coming through the ranks at Southampton and that can only be a good thing for the club. Also, if he was already at Arsenal and Man Utd he would be no where near the first team. As for being better than Theo, I think he has the ability to play a more pivotal role in a game as I think eventually he will move in to central midfield and pull the strings from there a bit like Kieron Dyer in his very brief pomp. Theo was much more effective for us at a higher level though but was always going to be a winger or forward.

Rumour has it Saints are in big trouble!

Even in the sense of Howard, we let him go when we were comfortable a Premier League outfit. If we were still in the Premier League he wouldnt even be on the radar so I dont think we can say we missed out on him or made a mistake. You cant just keep players in the squad from the academy just in case we get relegated twice in 5 years as they might come in handy if that happens! -
Shame about Hoskins. Watched him train up at Staplewood a few weeks back and thought he looked sharp, despite his size.

I once drank 16 cans of Diet Coke on a coach to Liverpool for a Saints game (we drew 0-0... good game. Neil Moss had a blinder). That coupled with a dodgy burger from the Everpool burger van had me projectile vomiting for the last hour of the journey home. I kid you not, my sick was fizzy. Since then I would rather dehydrate than drink Diet Coke.

Am I right in thinking Jake Sinclair is Scott Sinclair's younger brother?

Have to agree Cardiff was so much better in terms of where in the city it was located etc... I like Wembley though. For a stadium that can accomodate so many people I still think it feels pretty intimate and small.

Sure thats not Scott Mills? I know he's a radio presenter, local and that way inclined.

ESB, you know my Uncle so you'll probably know my Dad as well. You'll know that either of them were no shrinking violets back in the day. I know from first hand experience leopards do change their spots (either that or old father time catches up with them!). I wasnt having a dig, just challenging the common misconception that its only oiks and scum that get involved with this sort of thing.
-
Fair dos mate. That wasnt a sly dig at you or anything, just pointing out that a lot of people always assume that people getting caught up in this sort of thing have $hite jobs and are the dregs of society which is true in many instances but certainly not all.
-
Definitely remember us calling them scummers too. The whole Southampton Community Union Men thing is total bollix with no records of such a strike which is funny as Pompey's "official historian" wrote an article about it reporting it as fact not so long ago.

How do you know he has? Heads of Industries have always been involved with football violence. My brother in law was heavily involved with the Newcastle Gremlins back in the 80's and earns very good money in a very respectable job. Just needed his release at the weekend.

Good comparison between Lallana and Joe Cole. Not thought of it like that before but its true. Lallana plays a lot like a raw Joe Cole in his West Ham days before Mourinho ruined him. -
Went camping about 2 years ago in East Sussex and on the last night got rather inebriated resulting in me sleeping on the back seat of the car on the way back in to London. As we were approaching London my girlfriend had been winding some bloke up for a while after he dangerously overtook her on the dual carriageway a few moments before. She has managed to get back in front of him when the road bottle necked and proceeded to drive reeeaaalllyyyy sloooooowly whilst the bloke behind was getting angrier and angrier pointing and gesturing. I was still asleep at this point but aware of my girlfriends chuckling. We then stopped at traffic lights when this bloks obviously saw this as a good opportunity to get out and confront my girlfriend. Just as he started he glanced in to the back window and noticed me, now awake, looking at him. Never before have I seen such an angry, intimidating face and manor change so quickly. If I wasnt so dopey from being so hungover and asleep I'd have Vinny Jones'd him.

No complaints here. I work for a German owned company. They are hard but fair. Give you all the tools to do the job properly and to excel and a good product to sell but if you arent pulling your wait or doing whats expected of you you are out.

Anyone know anything about him? -
I've germinated my seed more or less every time I've been abroad in my adult life.

The Mrs bought me the album yesterday. I put it on whilst I was cooking dinner. I've got to say I really liked it. Short, catchy tunes. Not self-indulgent and probably the shortest album I own at just over 30 mins long but it does kind of leave you wanting to hear what else they've got which can only be a good thing when they release their 2nd album. As for manji's comment, is it their fault they've been over-hyped? The are mediocre by who's standards? As for derivative, I implore you to tell me of a band breaking out now that arent "derivative" in one form or another.

I've just seen Eyjólfur Héðinsson from Denmark's FC SønderjyskE leaving St. Mary's. Coincidence? Hows THAT for a decent rumour? What a signing!
