  1. I wasn't having a go, just saying in reality you have only got one result that I wouldn't otherwise have expected you to get. It was a great result. As I said, good on you. Leicester will be interesting. They did well against us for the first half hour, plenty of pace up front, decent aggression but they tired badly and once we settled down and started playing football they couldn't live with us. You lot are a ball playing side too, if you can start on the front foot, unlike us, I'd fancy Brighton for the win.
  2. My colleague reckons its pretty common knowledge that it is Stuart Downing.
  3. They've done well but I'm not jealous of them. In my opinion, they've had one game against one of the tougher sides in the league, away to Cardiff and beat them 3-1. The rest I would have expected them to win anyway. Good on them I say. The only points we have dropped so far are away to Leicester where they had an absolute, stone-wall foul on Lambert ignored for their 3rd goal and we absolutely pummelled them in the 2nd half but couldn't get an equaliser.
  4. Presumably it's not someone currently playing. Surely they would have failed a drugs test and been banned, so I reckon someone who has all of a sudden fallen "out of favour" and hasn't been getting a look in for the past year or so.
  5. Good result lads, normal service resumed...!
  6. You can't get enough of that phrase can you?!
  7. Maybe, but they've had a long successful history of unsettling players with speculation...
  8. Given that the majority of the 20-odd "Championship previews" I read at the start of the season stated our "Key Man" was going to be Rickie Lambert, Alex OC, Kelvin Davis or Jose Fonte, I would say AL has gone largely under the radar by the press. Winning such accolades will attract more media attention and speculation and I don't care who you are, there is always a risk that an increase in that sort of attention could turn some peoples heads.
  9. Disagree. Curtis' angst suited the lyrics and music they were knocking out at the time. She's Lost Control could be sung by no-one but Curtis.
  10. So you are saying you wouldn't be temped by a 40% wage increase and guaranteed first team football in the Premier League?
  11. I'm willing to predict Noel Gallagher's solo stuff will not get the same attention as Beady Eye's first effort did. Noel was the brains behind Oasis but Liam was the soul (and voice).
  12. Actually a very good shout. Seen him live a few times and never once been in tune. It is half the charm though. Top bloke mind, met him at Homelands a few years ago, sat with us for a couple of hours drinking beer. A lad we were with was a well known "pharmacist" to the artists back then which may have been why, but he was spot on.
  13. Don't be so hard on yourself.
  14. Perhaps they are but the most press and attention he gets, the more inclined your Aston Villa's, Newcastle's and Everton's will be to whack in a bid before the proper big boys start showing serious interest. I'm fairly confident Lallana is loyal to the cause but put an offer of £40k a week and regular Premier League football on the table and it might, just might be enough to turn the lads head.
  15. Damien Marley. Living off his dads name.
  16. Would be a great signing if true. Reminds me of Welbeck who looks to come on leaps and bounds in the last few months.
  17. I'm pleased he didn't win it. We need Adam here for the season and if he starts winning these type of awards, its only a matter of time before the big boys start circling, in order to fill their British player quota next season.
  18. You are joking right? In last years top 10 restaurants in the world, Spain had 4 restaurants, 3 in the top 5. Italy had one in the top 10. Spend some time sampling true Spanish cuisine and I am convinced your opinion will change.
  19. Much prefer Spain. A much more understated country with better food.
  20. It was, Swansea v Cardiff apparently.
  21. Her mother introduced me to her a couple of years ago in Shepherds Bush. I was doing well until my mate bought me a half pint of sambuca which I downed in front of her. Strangely it seemed to put her off. True story. Actually a really nice girl. Bit cheeky and a good flirt.
  22. Price sounds about right. Just don't keep the meter running outside the ground during the game! Have a great day!
  23. Fearne Cotton may be quite annoying but I'd let her sit on my face.
  24. I took Leyton Orient to UEFA Cup glory on 97/98. Bjorn Heidenstrom was a machine.
  25. I'll watch tonight but I'm totally indifferent. If England lose it does not affect my mood at all. The only time it did was when we failed to qualify for the last championships and if anything, I enjoyed the finals more than I would have had England qualified.
