Hi guys, thanks for all your replies. Very much appreciated. FAO Saint in Paradise: The tournament is held at the FC Dallas Complex in Frisco with the final being played at FC Dallas' stadium which I am led to believe is also on the complex. Because of this, I think we are looking to stay in Frisco so any recommendations of placed to stay, eat, drink and do around there would be great. Saints will have a game at least 5 of the 9 days we'll be out there for so realistically we'll need recommendations of things within relatively close proximity. Seen a few people have now mentioned the book depository so I will check that out. Jillyanne - I love my grub so I think Dallas and I will get on just fine!

This is confirmed. Goalkeepers are told under no circumstances hoof the ball. Always give to a defender and let them bring out of defence. Even if they are all being tightly marked. Like it or not, the club now has an ethos. An identity. A way of playing the game. If it doesn't produce wins in the Premier League, we'll get relegated. We won't sell out and bring in a long ball manager to preserve PL status. We are playing the long game. If you don't like it, you better learn to.

Anyone ever been? My nephew has today been told he is going to play in the Dallas Cup in March/April next year. Me and my brother in law will be going to watch. Bit of support but mainly an excuse for us to get away and have a week on the ******. Can anyone recommend things to do, places to see, reasonably priced places to stay, bars, restaurants etc... Cheers.

Liverpool down to one recognised striker

Signed from QPR when he was 14. My girlfriend is mates with his sister. Funny thing is that apparently he hates it in Liverpool and has his heart set on a move to Arsenal. -
Hi Stu, I don't know anyone myself but my Dad owns the Dog and Crook pub in Braishfield. He is quite involved with local community stuff etc... I'm sure he won't mind you putting a sign up on the notice board in there. Tell him Sam suggested it if you like. I'd expect a few of his regulars will have kiddies of a suitable age. Cheers.

Good OP. Couldnt agree more. If the season ended now it would be mission accomplished.

Pretty sure theauthor of the book is a regular, well known poster on here. For me, its CMFG.

2 promotions in his 2.5 years at the club? What more do you want?
-
I might have 2 spare tickets available. They are Club Arsenal tickets so in with the Arsenal fans but the hardcore prawn sandwich brigade so you won't hear a peep out of them. I won't find out for sure until tomorrow by its 90% likely. If anyone wants them let me know and I'll get in touch once its confirmed.

Pretty sure Barnard scored against the skates earlier in the season too.

Emmanuel Mayuka - Officially Signed on OS - Work Permit Confirmed

Decent. Anyone got an idea of the sort of fee involved? -
I don't think he is at all. Lee's movement was a cut above for the few games he played last season. He was too good for the Championship by far in my opinion - just a shame he got injured. I'm really excited about him and know for a fact that very senior people at the club are too and can't believe they didn't face more competition for his signature when we signed him.

In the case you are probably familiar with the concept "mirror selling". Basically copying your propects mannerisms and movements to sub-conciously build empathy and rapport. A lot of this is NLP related. Most decent sales people will do this without even thinking. In fact, I'd go as far to say if you are doing it whilst thinking about, it will look forced and as if you are taking the ****.
-
Obviously goes without saying this is key too.
-
As far as I know Turkish you work in sales. If you do any face to face sales, NLP is huge. I used to run a recruitment firm and brought in an NLP guru who guaranteed x amount profit growth or his fee back. It worked an absolute treat.

This has been truly emotional. I love you all. Xxx

Guly speaks Spanish, so it's fine.

Regardless if we have or we haven't, I don't think it can be argued that we already spent a considerable amount of time on it. I'm just not going to be logging on, checking this thread constantly for updates and then start crying when it doesn't happen. Bologna know the deal on the table. It might not appeal that much to them now, but if they are in financial dire straits as is reported, one assumes it will look a damn sight better on Thursday/Friday next week, as long as no other offers are made for him in the meantime by anyone else.
-
I know but given that there has been a fair amount of speculation on every deal we have done so far, I'm starting to get a little twitchy that all our efforts are being focussed on getting this one over the line. Not working on any inside info, just a feeling. Happy to be proven wrong of course.
-
I'm saying no, purely because I think we need to move on and bring in other targets. I just think we cannot protract the negotiations any further. As good a signing as I think it would be, we have other areas far more in need of addressing.

You mean we aren't waiting for matey boy to come back from Uruguay with a signed document any more?
-
Has he not heard of a fax machine then? Instead he is flying to Uruguay to get a signature... great.
