Dear Doncaster, You know that Billy Sharp character that is due to arrive with you today? When he turns up, turn him around back to us please? We had a bit of plunder with a pirate. Much Love MoPo

@SkySportsNews: Sky Sources: Osvaldo suspended following altercation with teammate #SSN

Was hoping that as MoPo had managed him before, he would be able manage him again. Can only hope it doesn't affect team spirit which normally seems pretty good.

Guessing if Man City get Champions League (pretty much a cert), Sunderland get Europa League next season?
-
Did he upset Nike, Puma, Warrior or every other sporting goods manufacturer as well then?

OK I'll bite. What do you base that on? What's your source? I only ask as when we announced the Addidas deal it was stated as being "long term" http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/southampton-fc-are-all-in-839343.aspx

Not worried about his age if the all the good reports about him are true. I would be interested to know on how he as come to be the front runner though - purely how he came to Katherina's attention and the advisors who recommended him. I don't mean this from a critical stance, I'd just like to know more about the process as I think it would answer many questions. (And as I occasionally like to do, here is a link to F1. Ron Dennis has just become McLaren CEO again at the age of 66 - again age shouldn't be a problem here either)

I missed the old takeover threads! The excitement, the wild theories, the bull****, the earlobe analysis, the general fun and games and the arguing amongst the usual suspects! Good to see those Halcyon days have returned! And in case anyone is interested, Paul Allen's yacht continues to be in Hamburg.

Depends on what you read. Lotus F1 are owned by Genii Capital. Lotus F1's debts are reported to be in the form of loans from Genii Capital. Their problems in paying Raikkonen were from a financial deal with Quantum not going through from what they claim is down to embargoes on large amounts of money from the Middle East to western accounts. They have plugged he hole in the finances by bringing in Maldonado from Williams and his £30million PVDSA sponsorship deal. The other elements of Genii capital are reported to be in good financial health. But anyway, I wouldn't want either Red Bull or Lotus on our shirts or owning us.

We failed to take so many chances early on. FFS saints. They were diabolical early on and now they are back in it.
