Is extending the ground at the end of next season actually true?
doubleonothing replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
And now for a version of the Football Manager argument that is occasionally wheeled out when a player is linked: "Expand it! It pays off in FM!" Personally I'd like to see an expansion as that way I'd be more likely to get a ticket for when I'm in the country. Also, with the large number of cruise ships using Southampton as a turnaround port (and whilst not all are in on a match day), we should make the most of them and try and attract casual fans who are only in town for the day(or day before joining a ship) - something American sports teams do -go after the casual fan -
Get in. Great result!

@premierleague: Into the final stages of #RDGSOU. Reading are the #BPL late goal specialists this season, with 12 scored after 80 minutes. They trail 0-2.
-
@SimonPeach: 'Nigel Adkins, he's too good for you' chant the #SaintsFC fans. #ReadingFC pushing for a goal in the last 10 mins #PAsoccer

That was sloppy sloppy defending. How they didn't score there I don't know.

@johncrossmirror: Southampton fans chanting: "One Nigel Adkins." That gesture applauded by the Reading fans. Now Saints sing: "There's only one Pochettino."

GoalControl beats Hawkeye to World Cup
doubleonothing replied to doubleonothing's topic in The Lounge
Wasn't aware of that. Thought they were one of the two. At least it's getting introduced though! -
German-based manufacturer GoalControl is set to provide goal-line technology (GLT) at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22002733 Means that Hawkeye has missed out on the world cup. Hopefully they'll win the contracts in England (FA and Premiership)

Jesus! Is it really 4 years? I remember being in Tesco shopping when my mate rang me and informed of the sky sports breaking news. Remember being quite adamant that it was he parent company not the club in admin so shouldn't be -10. It's been an eventful 4 years! (Also means its 4 years from when we last played in Swansea. Will be nice to go back there and not have Lloyd James hopelessly ou of position every 30 seconds. One of the worst away games I went to back in he dark days)
