It's what happens with constant changes of managers and direction. I for one never got this mantra that whosoever was employed, they just slotted in and 'the Southampton way' prevailed. At least if we get relegated we will go back to being primarily a football team again, rather than a company whose core business is buying and selling players for profit.

That's why he borrowed the money to buy into Saints. Why risk his own cash in such a risky venture.......

It has to be a major failing on the Liverpool managements part, that they did not address their shortcomings at CB in the last transfer window. They were told they would not be signing VVD, so should have looked elsewhere.......

At least he is on a five year contract, so if he has a good season now, we won't be forced to sell him to Liverpool come next summer.......

What I would like is for Austin, provided he stays fit, to be given a run in the team, and to play to his strengths. But that would appear to be all to simplistic for our management "structure'

It will be someone out of work already, perhaps Craig Shakespeare will fit the bill..........
