That’s part of the problem, relegation shouldn’t be a disaster for a football club. It should be part of the natural scheme of things in a sport. However because the PL is now first and foremost big business, it has come to this sad state of affairs.

You do realise £10m is vitally nothing in todays transfer market. This for one of our most experienced players......

I doubt we are going to stump up £115,000 a week wages.......
