They aren't 7th in the Blue Square Premier because of the points deduction from the previous season though. All the points total did is relegate them. The current team is far from the best in their league as the table shows and they had no points deduction this season.
Bet he was happy
Who is the other bid for then in Pardew's couple of bids he revealed? Chris Lines? What about any other deals or maybe the areas Pardew want to improve? Striker? Barnard/Jackson? Right back?
So Chris Lines and Elliot Ward the couple of bids Pardew was talking about after the game?
Sounds like a good start to the transfer window if true. Hopefully a striker like Lee Barnard or Simeon Jackson to follow and possibly another right back.
Old article, but shows it is more than just a random internet rumour and there "may" have been past interest.

18,786 Saints vs a non league team was...
6,000 more than Pompey against a Championship side.
6,000 more than Middlesbrough against Man City
Most shocking of all...
14,000 more than two Premiership sides playing each other Wigan vs Hull
I really don't have a problem with how they did it. As I said earlier it makes the areas of the ground more densely populated...
3 full(ish) stands and 1 behind goal stand empty >>> (better atmosphere) >>> 4 sparsely populated stands
Why does he need 10,000 people? If he is an idiot enough to do it, then just do it.
If he does start getting close to 10,000, Pompey may become aware due to the publicity and ban him from the ground.
