A really tedious argument about stats (Split)
Matthew Le God replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
It is a fallacy -
1) He has more managerial experience than one of the managers you said you wanted 2) Why does not managing in England matter? Again, he has more European top 5 top flight experience than one of the managers you suggested 3) I doubt he played much Championship Manager, as he was only 12 year old when it effectively ended. Also puzzling why that is a stick to use against him?

What issue would you have with it?

At no point did I say otherwise. You have built a strawman argument! -

More nonsense! He managed Stockport for 42 games, conceding numerous goals. Even if you meant just for Saints... Liverpool scored vs Rusk's Saints -

Utter nonsense yet again! 1) I did not say not managing in the PL before guaranteed success either. Why time after time are you unable to grasp that saying one thing does not mean another? 2) I did not say all of it. -

No need for a pay cut, he is still a registered player until 30th June.

So you can't. Thanks for clearing that up! -
Are you unable to explain why it is bollocks?

All means very little. The odds reflect punters reading media stories and making bets based on those rumours, not liklihood of each manager getting the job. Next manager markets fluctuate on some very low bets being placed.

1) Pochettino and Koeman hadn't managed in England before, they both did exceptionally well for us. Do you think they 'knew the league' before they joined? The league label you put on a game doesn't impact the match. So if a manager has experience in another top league/competition why does it matter if he hasn't managed in England before? 2) Data is evidence... why would you not want to use evidence when making a decision?

Mariela Nisotaki - New Head of Talent Acquisition
Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Why are you judging her on that? She was not in charge of first team recruitment at Norwich and won't be at Southampton. The article says her focus will be on the 16 to 19 age groups. -
Can you really not grasp the connection of linking someone commenting on the gender of our head of Talent Acquisition to a thread about someone famous for misogyny! #TurkishFail

Are you in the wrong thread?

Johannes Spors putting his team together. If it acts as a way to keep Fernandes so we have him back after a promotion... it is not 'utterly stupid'! 😉😇

Nothing about it on Brighton's website, the Brighton paper, the council planning website or Brighton's main fan forum. Maybe it was a dream! 😁

Some good news for you! https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/cornet-returns-to-west-ham Probably easy to miss as he had no impact for us, but Cornet left in January when his loan was cut short, he then went on loan to Genoa and was never ours in the first place to stay beyond this season anyway.
