Yeah, maybe I over-egged the promising period. The bottom line is though, we've now had two managers this season who have managed to get the worst, rather than the best, out of a bunch of mediocre players. Only Rusk, during his very brief tenure, seemed to show signs of understanding how you squeeze something positive out of said substandard players in this league.

After several years of wading through red tape, referrals, waiting lists, etc, my 27 year old daughter finally got an ADHD diagnosis a couple of weeks ago. She started the medication a few days ago and we're already starting to notice a significant difference in her persona and demeanour. The diagnosis process needs massively streamlining to avoid young people such as my daughter wasting years of their life battling against a condition, and the bureaucracy surrounding it, when there's life changing medication available.

There were signs in the first month or so of his tenure that he would be more capable of getting a tune out of these players in the PL than Martin did. It's only been the last month or so that it's become obvious that he too has traits which undermine our chances of grinding out results from games. So, there was a period of time where it wasn't unreasonable to sense that Juric was an improvement on Martin this season (not a very high bar, admittedly). Obviously, with hindsight, it turns out they're both as "dog shite" as eachother, especially when it comes to shooting ourselves in the foot....

Name someone who thought we wouldn't still lose a lot of games after getting rid of Martin? #"lookatme"medalstillonhold There was general consensus that it was always going to take a long time to get over the shockingly woeful first half of the season under Martin. It just so happens that Juric turns out to be equally clueless in the PL. I always advocated we should've appointed a caretaker manager from within for the very reason that we were unlikely to get someone new in who could turn things around this season.

It's a valid point of view, but so is the opposite point of view. I don't see the point of keeping a manager in his position if it's obvious that he's not up to the job. Swings and roundabouts.

Markus planted the seeds. The seeds then grew and flourished over the next few years after his passing; then the plants were left to dwindle. Markus passing away was indeed the start of our downfall, just took a few years for the effect to kick in...

Juric has to go. Two clueless managers in one season. Doesn't get much more Saintsy than that.

That's spooky... I was litterally just contemplating whether to post exactly the same.... Never say never, I guess...? In all seriousness, I'd love to see a rejuvenated Hassenhutl back here under Spors with Dragan's money being spent more wisely than it has been to date....
