It's the type of weirdo who said that about Mané when he wasn't performing well that worry me most...
-
So, a zero risk / no gamble appointment then. Excellent

Any reason why you quoted that post rather than your later 'hedging bets' post...? Welcome to the forum btw #whiffofglasgow

I'm still clinging onto the, perhaps forlorn, belief that Sulemana could become a gem of a player under the right manager...

Saints vs Arsenal - Thank F**k it’s All Over Thread
trousers replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
Is that a confession...? 😁 -
Do you know his name and we've got to guess what it is? P.s. we have an u24 side...?
-
Unbeaten run you say? Sign him up, that's all I look for in a manager!
-
Which, coincidentally, is one of my favourite soundbites

If only he had some sychophants posting on here who could feed such information back to him...

I thought it was supposed to be realistic...?

Are relgious factors such as Ramadan included?

Anyone else hankering for the days of yore where you didn't have to worry about buying players that fitted a certain style. Just buy some decent players and get out there and play football rather than all this over-thinking the game malarkey! FFS
-
And there was me thinking he was instructed to play that way by the manager... That's twice I've been wrong so far today... Fingers crossed for third time lucky...!
-
My view is that there probably wasn't much difference in the overall quality of our respective squads. Certainly not of a significance that's worth arguing the toss about on an internet football forum anyway.... (And, in anticipation of the next line of enquiry in this interogation... no, I haven't based my view on any stats or science, just my gut feel / hunch, which could of course be wrong under scrutiny.... but I'm fine with being wrong... you should try it some time.... )
-
Oh, go on then.... I'll relent on this occassion...
-
Farmer Saint and MLG... never before seen in the same room together... make of that what you will.... P.s. I didn't realise selective quoting from t'internet was back in fashion.... I guess two can play at that game....

Still awaiting rescue the last I heard...

If Man City are in breach of the rules then how come we don't win by default? A case of the 'big boys' pulling the strings....? And, not only do they flout the rules, but they then get to broadcast the game exclusively on their subscription channel. I hope we've kicked up a stink rather than meekly agreeing to this bias... And, talking of bias, why isn't it being hosted at a neutral venue anyway...?

At least no beavers were harmed, thankfully.

I disagree, but that's fine

Conflation my dear Watson.... I'm 'knocking' those that over-egg the signifcance of the unbeaten run not the unbeaten run itself. I'll repeat for the hard of understanding... it was a good thing, not a bad thing. We both agree that it was "pretty good". The only difference is that some people think it was more praiseworthy than others. Probably more signficant things in the world to disagree on... p.s. just because someone isn't overwhelmed by something doesn't mean they're underwhelmed... that's the black and white world a certain other poster lives in... I mostly live on Planet Ambivalence...
