A few uncomplimentary newspaper reports out there, but this one from the Mirror says it as I saw it.... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/southampton-v-manchester-city-match-1300621 Love this quote:- Although Aguero tested Boruc with a cross shot, there was no denying Saints’ supremacy, and Mancini and his assistant David Platt stood on the touchline, with note paper in hand, looking like a couple of bemused schoolboys waiting for someone to do their homework.

Saint Or Sinner Nicola Cortese Drives Southampton On
Gingeletiss replied to Graffito's topic in The Saints
What is undeniable is that, in football terms, his approach works. Saints have gone from heading towards oblivion to aiming for Europe. Cortese is not afraid to invest serious money with Southampton among the highest spenders in the summer transfer window as £17m went on Gaston Ramirez and Jay Rodriguez alone. His impatience explains Saints’ vote against the financial restraints introduced by the Premier League this week, not that this will bother other clubs, several of whom are unhappy at his hard bargaining. Now that's a shock, I never saw that in the tea leaves! -
The middle one sounds like a poopey player, and the last one, an ex poopey player!

Don't think they have actually said that........ Given that The Football League's Insolvency Policy prohibits a club from beginning two consecutive seasons in administration, the Board took the view that any change of preferred bidder at such a late stage would only create further uncertainty and was not in the wider interests of The League and its member clubs. Therefore, The League has informed the Administrator that it will not currently consider transferring the Club's share in The Football League to a new bidder. This means that in the event that the PST bid does not succeed and Portsmouth do not exit administration before the end of the current playing season, the Club will lose its membership of The Football League. Just that they will not transfer the Golden share, as is their right.

guildfordblue 9:23 AM on 08/02/2013 Everyone is saying Chanrai will fight us to the death. I don't think so. I do not condone violence but if he did fight Pompey to the death and Pompey cease to exist, I would not want to be in his shoes! How many Pompey fans are there, 100,000? 100,000 enemies.... Gadaffi didn't even have that many!! :lol:100,000:lol:

Mr McInnes added high-net worth individuals backing the trust’s bid have pumped more than £1m into the club to keep it afloat. But they would stand to never see that again had Mr Harris taken control. He added: ‘Not one penny of that is refundable. I have supported this club for 52 years and the most important thing is that the club survives and prospers.’ 1m

Colin Farmery, the trust’s spokesman, said: ‘We are very pleased with the Football League’s decision. This is a clear sign from the Football League they approve of us. ‘The situation with Pompey has been going on for almost 12 months now and the statement clearly relates to the fact they want this matter to be brought to a conclusion. ‘I would now urge those fans who haven’t yet added their pledge to do so. ‘To any fans who may have been sceptical, now is the time to put your money into the club that we support.’ It's the........ Pompey are set to complete a triple attacking swoop ahead of Bournemouth. Striker John Akinde is due to sign for the Blues today after leaving Crawley. And he is expected to be joined by the double loan arrivals of Patrick Agyemang and Therry Racon. Akinde trained with Pompey yesterday and is a free agent after leaving their League One rivals. The 23-year-old has also spent time at Bristol City and had a number of spells on loan at lower-league sides. Agyemang is due to join his new team-mates today from Stevenage with the emergency loan window opening. Racon linked up with Pompey yesterday and will sign on loan from Millwall. And Hayes & Yeading’s Alex N’Diaye is training with the side again after a trial last week. Yet still they spend, top players one and all!!

Was just thinking this myself, I wonder what the legal view on this is?

At its meeting in London earlier today, the Board of The Football League was appraised of the current situation regarding the administration of Portsmouth Football Club in light of media reports that the Administrator, PKF, is considering a new offer for the Club. The League had previously been informed by PKF that its preferred bid for the Club was from the Pompey Supporters Trust (PST) and all parties have been focussed on a successful transfer of share to that consortium.
