I don't understand this w*nkfest for Davis, I thought he was our weakest player, and JWP was up there as our most effective player.

Not really. If he stays, he plays, he will get sold next summer. If he pulls the 'wounded plover' trick, then the club just say, now it's the year after. All the power is with Saints at this moment. imo.

My take on this, is that if we pay compensation, nobody else can employ him. If the contract is just torn up, they can. If he was to go to St Etienne, they have to pay for his contract. I'm sure someone will correct this if I am wrong.
