The ball seemed to spend more time with throw - ins and on the corner spot as much as it did in play. was that a football match or a new game
-
Yes - last match he did an amazing dribble along the goal line

Looking at the frustration and tension on Ralphs' face during the game I would not be surprised if he threw in the towel soon. I thought the goalie started the rot in stoppage time by booting the ball upfield instead of playing from the back ,after getting the ball passed to him from a free kick. Spurs picked off the boot upfield and scored. it changed the mood in the dressing room at half time after such nice moves from Saints. in the first half why was the free kick given back to the GK to begin with

I am speechless!

We have not scored a goal all season so Lawrie may be correct. However any thing is possible in football to quote the obvious. Hoberg should be pleased no crowd to barrack him
-
We have not scored in two games. I do not share your optimism! I warned on here not to waste £10 on streaming the game

Saints v Brentford Carabao Cup Round 2 - build up

I agree especially after his recent international duties -
Saints v Brentford Carabao Cup Round 2 - build up
Totton Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
After the utterly inept and pedestrian display vs Palace where we strolled around arrogantly passing backwards as if it was a forgone conclusion ( and all time in the world) we would win after going a goal down, I would not pay £10 and risk watching similar dross. Very worrying. However Spurs are in disarray already -
Did you read in the Telegraph today about MU's apallng third strip looking like zebras . The article then went on to invoke the day MU played us in a GREY strip and said they lost to us 6-3 because they could not pick out one another in grey their strips. MU even changed into a different strip at half time

I did not mean it was evil to just sack these people but it will be evil if the minority PC crowd slowly bur surely completely change the way we interact . Orwell's 1984 anyone? I reckon it is not far from evil for those sacked at a stroke with no explanation. Certainly very callous after all the years service and pleasure they have given to so many ,if not every one
-
"It only needs good men to stay silent for evil to prevail." Sorry if I got the original quote slightly mangled but the point is the same. Why do we allow these PC people go unapposed?

Thanks

I did not see any Sunday fixtures - surely SKY will be broadcasting Sunday games as per usual. Have I misread the fixtures? Here"s wishing all fans a happy season - and the players too!)

not long to wait for next season to see how he will perform. I am optomistic

you cannot please all of the people all of the time. At least he plays with a smile on his face

Standout result for Leicester but not Saints!! All I said initially is we have not heard the last of it . At least it sparked a lively debate
-
We were down to ten men were we not?. So does this not in someway invalidate it as a home defeat record??

I can remember getting beaten 8-0 in the sixties. and another was 7-0 (was one v Everton?) Not such a fuss made then.although I agree most comment this time were positive Took a while from us beating MU 6-3 when they claimed could not see each other theirein grey strip which they changed at half time e

If you thought we had heard the last of the Leicester 0-9 debacle look at the BBC news/football web site, then the above item -heading number 4. I guess you could argue that Vardy's hat trick that day robbed Ings of the Golden boot

Any news re Armstrongs injury? Redmonds defensive work was exemplary Sunday and our fitness made such a difference since restart
-
Well said - MOM should be for how a player has performed for the whole match. Good as Adam's goals were, and goals win matches It hink voters do not always see the whole picture
-
It was nice see Redmond going on the outside of his man today on several occasions Liked the new strip
-
Who do you consider MOM? Romeo for me
-
Nice to have at least stimulated an interesting debate even if I was wrong in my asserrions. I have learnt some interesting facts from the posts - so thanks fellow saints fans. The 'coma' crack was quite witty too
