That might be stretching it a bit.

But it's not inconceivable that SC could be part of the selection panel,if rumours that he is/was in town are correct?
-
So it's definitely McLaren then?

Its extremely unlikely we'll get anyone who "achieved something" as a Manager/Coach. Look at where we are. Most likely to be someone with somethng to prove, but with a reputation that will attract the quality of player we want. And who will work ther "continental" way. Zola.

Beaten to it by SNSUN

If true that Coppell has been seen around, it may be he is acting as an advisor in the search. Good guy in that capacity I'd have thought.
-
It will be someone prepared to go along withe the continental sytem of Coaches picking from the players provided to them, and also having to take players from the development squad deemed good enough for the first team. That points to a "continental", as most UK Managers wouldn't wear it. That's the whole point of the new set-up, coaching system, and Scouting Network. Head Coaches come and go, but the basic infrastructure behind them stays in place. Zola.

I think you probably are

Was he riding Shergar?
-
The question is, would he suddenly start affecting an 'Ampshire accent. Mush.
-
niether did Keegan when he took Fulham through the divisions. I don't think it's a pre-requisite.

Their next three fuxtures are home to Ipswich, away to Palarse, and away to Sheff Utd. I'll give them a draw at Palace, the other two they'll lose. Bottom at the end of Sept. No owner, no players (defenders esecially), no ground, no training ground, no youth team, no funding, no hope. Theymay have squeezed over several hurdles which would have seen any normal business done for but, imo, they're still toast. It'll just take longer to brown.
-
Doyou think he picks the team on the basis of the 90 minutes performance, or takes the weeks training sessions into account?

My mother-in-law has been having physio for the last 6 months for a shoulder problem. She fell down last week and bruised her arm - but corrected the shoulder problem. Nature works in mysterious ways.

I'm grateful to you for this insightful contribution. You must know NC very very well.

Yep, **** the football, I'm counting advertising hoardings.

I've circled the bit the Club actually owns:
-
How can they possibly be allowed to sign new players (even on loan), whilst not fulfilling obligations to current ones?? It beggars belief. I still reckon Wislon will be gone soon, followed by Cotterill.
-
Yep, shades of Tin Man

If he gets that amount of time in any league in this country I'll eat my hat.

I was just wondering, why Palarse have managed to come out of Administration, get their new owners through the F & PP test, and presumably present a viable financial plan to the FL which has allowed their transfer embargo to be lifted (all accepted yesterday), yet our fishy friends have not, and have to wait for a FL meeing in mid September? Could it be becasue Chinnery has not passed the F & PP test, or that the FL have seen through the CVA budget for what it is? Have they asked Chinnery for financial guarantees in the event that £12m-£15m, plus £4m is not received from player sales? It just seems strange. I also suspect the refusal to sell players for whom good offers have been received is yet more bravado and brinkmanship. We shall see who is actually left come the end of the window.

That is the first time I've laughed at a post on here for 10 days. Well done sir.
-
Yes, but read the piece in The Snooze earlier this week and it doesn't read like the latter. Watch the ball, not the feet!
-
Yep, when Wilson goes, Cotterill will walk as it becomes clear that Chinnery will not be funding the club any more than he absolutely has to in order to get his money back. IMO.
-
Even if the figure is £12m they are £3m-£5m short of that target (+ need to find £4m in January) with no-one of any vaue left to sell. The only place they can get anywhere near saving that amount of money is on the playing side. Unless Chennery is prepared to dip into his own pocket again, and the interview in the News didn't read like that was going to happen. The free transfers are gone, and they can't afford, probably, to pay loan fees for season long loans. It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks until the window closes. They simply have to get the remaining big earners off their books. If Wislon goes, after all Cotterills bluster, then the writing really is on the wall.
