Some of you guys should go for a run first thing, get some endorphins coursing before you start posting.

It would be fun if we could get the Dugout Pioneers in to a bidding war with the Dildo Brothers.

Saturday 3pm - Spain kicks up a fuss - TV versus the fans ?
Faz replied to manina-pub's topic in The Saints
Three o’clock Saturday games when the whole world used to close down for the weekend we’re ideal. These days there will be people who cannot make Saturdays, but can do Friday, Sunday or Monday. Whilst I do occasionally lament the dancing to the tune of a Liverpool biased Sky TV schedule, and how much of the additional revenue has passed straight to players and agents, the improvements in the quality of play (by attracting better players and coaches) and in stadia more than offset that imho. -

Futile. Money talks. -
Shane only needs 4 more goals to become our 4th highest scorer in the EPL era. Should be able to knock those off against Burnley (this season).

There has never been an national election to choose a PM. Ever.

That would require the forum to reach a conclusion. I believe that contradicts forum rules.

The way you paint things we let Chambers and Clyde leave at the same time. We didn’t. Arsenal offered £16m for a 18/19yo with 20 odd appearances - a lot of money back then. We didn’t let him leave, we get more than fair value. He is, arguably, worth no more than that today despite the huge hike in transfer fees in the interim. As seems to be the case so often with Arsenal, he hasn’t developed, so far, in to the player many of us though he could be. Granted he still has time, but being Fulham’s player of the year is hardly a commendation - they were a particularly poor side. 12 months later, Clyne refused to sign a new contract and we sold him for £10m with 12 months remaining on his contract. He’s hardly pulled up trees at Liverpool imo, and had a pretty anonymous spell at Bournemouth. Finally, height wise, he’s taller than most of the players people would regard as the best full backs in the world.

Ah, somebody who has studied banking. The purpose of ‘continuing security’ is to prevent credits paid in to an account, for example an overdraft, being used to extinguish the original debt, thereby rendering the security ineffective for subsequent increases. It has been the practice of McQuarrie to take a new charge each year, probably to reflect changes in their documentation than for any other reason - I’ve not read the charge, but suspect it covers current and future borrowing. I suspect PGs are not taken for this type of facility and for a company of this size. In any event, the key stakeholder has not changed over last year, and even if PGs are in place a change would not trigger a requirement for a revised legal change over the assets of the company. If you’ve read this far, you probably need to get a life.

Being an optimist doesn’t make anyone “happy clappy” or naive, any more than being a realist makes you miserable - unless you know different.
-
I'd settle for short.

For those interested in such things, yesterday McQuarrie bank redeemed their chage against Southampton Football Club Ltd, and today have registered a new charge. The assumption is that this relates to the annual renewal of the cash flow facilities against EPL funds.

Well, some Southampton fans seem intent in sucking the pleasure and excitement out of everything. If you can’t feel optimistic and, yes, maybe delusional, ahead of the season what’s the point of being a supporter at all? I don’t want realism, and pragmatism. I get enough of that in my real life. I’m hugely excited by the season ahead. We have one of the best young coaches in Europe and I await with interest to see how passion, enthusiasm and well defined structured play further improves both individuals and the collective. I’ve splashed out on Season Tickets for the first time since we were relegated and I fell out of love with football - I’m over it now, honest. UTS.

I was once told that there should be a minimum 4" difference between your waist and your chest - in favour of your chest.

I'm not sure you can describe him as a back-up. He was injured for most of the 2nd half of the season. Before that he mostly played the full 90.
-
He’s twenty. We’re the perfect stepping stone for him to gain experience and exposure. De Ligt should have come here too.

BMI is a very crude measure, used on its own. It may be that all that work in the gym bulked CS up too much, hence the BMI issue. The right athletic body type/shape is key. Just speculating.

Ridiculous pandering to a weak manager.
