£12m for Fletcher, £10m for jarvis, £15m for Joe Allen. We need to steer well clear of this madness. Unless we can get £10m for Puncheon, who does at least have PL experience.

I think he was referring to the stream of players coming from the Academy, playing the "Southampton way". What is the average length of tenure of an EPL manager? And then take out Fergie and Wenger, and re-work it. I think he's looking some way in to the future.

Wenger has one, I'll see if he still wants it.
-
What impressed me was the way he showed for, and then demanded the ball. At 17.

I presume they still owe a slug of transfer fees??

When fit, he gets picked. Tells you all you need to know about Nigel's view on him.

I've spoken to quite a few of the few recently who just want a club to support which is untainted by the past goings on. They accept their punishment as just, in the same way that many Sants fans did when the FL did for us. They would rather start again.

I think you will find that this thread has moved on to a pro/anti NC debate involving the traditional protagonists. Every thread is destined to end this way.

This implies we've sold more STs than the capacity of that other place. Can't be true, surely?

Wilfred Zaha - Crystal Palace (linked in The Sun)
Faz replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
We're not really fishing in the same pool as them, are we? Also, at 19 he can come and play PL football with us rather than sit on their bench. -
He may have great potential, but whereas we could all see ox demonstrating his potential against fully grown men, we haven't yet seen that with Shaw. If he wants to go, he'll go. It doesn't mean the end of the world, nor that the aspirations we have a re null and void. We'll move on, and hopefully up.

How many of the 3500 ST renewals are lifetime ticket holders?

Nice try, but this thread has at least another 20 pages to run --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?5czfuv

The police gatherd the evidence. The CPS thought there was a case to answer, the Jury found him guilty, and the judge passed the sentence in accorance with the sentencing guidelines. I'm not saying there are never mis-carriages of justice, but this isn't just about a 'police state'. Why did this end up in the Crown Court? Did he/his team elect for that?

It's the trophy cabinet. HTH.

He will have accepted the "we'll pay your contract off over 5 years" deal. Still doesn't get them off the hook. He's on the wage bill for the next 5 years.

The football creditors don't need to agree anything. The next pp instalment is due in August and they get first dibs on that. If Pompey go bust they're free to negotiate their own deals including signing on fees elsewhere. Why should they compromise?

Nigel confirms Jay is hungry. Our number one priority.

"I will get my money back" That's all.

What on earth are they going to do with all those blue seats?? Seriously, a short step from this to renaming them Cardiff Kuala Lumpur FC and on the way to a fully franchised operation.
-
So, to summarise, the options are: a) they get a new owner (or a new old owner) who agrees a CVA, and takes on a potential income shortfall of £10m (unlikely), plus a possible points penalty for not completing the old CVA. b) they get a new owner who cannot agree a CVA (as per Leeds), and who takes on the income shortfall (unlikely), plus a definite points penalty for coming out without a CVA and a possible penalty for failing the old CVA. c) they're toast. What have I missed??

Whilst agree it's like the Jack Cork saga, it's because we had an offer accepted and had to wait for him to come back from holiday to complete the formalities.

Merseyside Police have confirmed that a 29yo has been arrested in connection with an altercation outside a Liverpool nightclub. They are treating the incident as hilarious.
