http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32183150 Clearly he's rubbish. Weak, no best position, doesn't score, can't tackle. Seems the people who matter can see he's only 20. BTW, for those who like to compare him with Harry Reed, there is no comparison in my view. JWP is currentlyhead and shoulders the better player. They're the same age, and of the two three Saints Managers in the Premier League, the current England U21 Manager ( who has made him Captain when there are players almost 3 years older in the team)and, it seems, the current England Manager all rate him higher. We should be celebrating him, not knocking a kid who is still learning in the White hot glare of central midfield in the EPL.

Technically speaking, 4 out of 5 is 2 better than Meatloaf.

Interesting innit? We really need to go out to win every game, but changing our formation to be more attacking didn't really work for us on Saturday. It upset the whole rhythm of the team. We should probably stick to the knitting and see where it gets us.

Love this. If practice makes perfect, Kelvis must be bloody brilliant after 13 months of nothing but practice.

I thought, generally, Pelle was very good. Despite being low on confidence, he continued to show for the ball. His hold up play and distribution were good. That said, if Everton are playing Alcaraz and Distinct, I'd start with Mane, Long & Elia up front.

I love KD, but we will concede at least one comedy goal with him there. Fact.
-
Appalling? All season? He's had a couple of poor games, which as a 20/21 yo he is entitled to do. Has he been as shocking as Mane was in a couple of his games? Or Barkley at Everton, or Januzai at Man Utd if you want to look at a similarly aged player elsewhere?

It's impossible to say. Kids a5t 17/18 suddenly mature and become players no-one imagined. Some do not develop at the expected rate and stagnate. It is not at all impossible that one of this year's U18's comes back for the pre-season, impresses the pants off everyone and becomes part of the 1st team. Or it may not happen.

I'll be happy if they don't

Disagree (respectfully!). For me we saw again last night that he is better coming on to the ball. And he will score goals in that way imo. Currently that means when we go 442 it is better for him. In time I think he will slot in to the Morgan roll and be spraying passes left right and centre. And before people start saying he's too lightweight for the holding roll, just remember the Morgan of 5 years ago.

Some people have too much time on their hands..... Thank goodness.

Beat WBA and we will go back in to the top 4 imo, and be back to 4 points ahead of Liverpool.

Nothing to do with money then.

I think we forget how (relatively) young he is. He is only 26 and has his best years as a centre back ahead of him. Not surprised he was offered a new contract.

Rodriguez given the all-clear and set to return next month

Imagine, for a moment, that he was a West Ham player and it was Saints who were touted as being about to spunk 25 million big ones on a player who (by the end of the season) might have had a couple of sub appearances following major injury. Not going to happen. If there is truly a contract offer on the table from Saints (which I seriously doubt, at least not an unconditional one) he would be mad not to have signed it by now. -
Bare bones innit

She's a Doris FFS. They don't get the one club thing. (Dons tin hat and awaits incomming)

Tony, whn was the last time you were confident about us beating anybody? Serious question.

Every time he wants a move away he just clocks a team-mate and off he trots.

Jesse Christ Rog, lay off the kid.

Could be the solution to our lack of striking options.........
