Ergo, the Net Spend table is redundant. It ignores not just wages, but bonuses and wage hikes for existing squad players.

Click bait.

This is getting ****ing ridiculous

Nowhere near the finished article, but why should he be at 21/22? Redmond or Andros ****ing Townsend. I know which one I'd rather have. People have enormous expectations of our young players.
-
always liked Merse.
-
His existing contract may have had a one year extension option, which the Club offered to trigger. The contract is not just about salary and term, but there is likely to be all sorts of other bonuses/add-ons etc etc in it. I certainly don't sign a new contract every time I get a measly pay rise.
-
You have to hope the Club have seen this coming for 4 months and irons in fires.
-
Do you knot think Redmond has adequately replaced the Mane we saw in his first 19 games??
-
We've also been very good for and to him.
-
We offered a pay rise and an extension, not a new contract. Both club and Fonte versions of the truth can be correct. He wouldn't have put in a transfer request without knowing that someone was going to put a bid in. Whether that bid will be enough for us is another matter. If not he'll just have to knuckle down and get on with it, as he has in fairness up to now.

Which account are you looking at? Can't see it on the official one.

In the 2015 accounts, the shareholder loan went from £15m in 2014 to £30m. Of that £30m, £9m is due to be repaid in the year 2016/17, and the remainder by 2020. The only other finance outstanding was for the overdraft facility. No dividend was declared in 2015 (nor in 2014). Quite where people get the idea Kat is lining her pockets from escapes me.

The charge to MacQuarrie is in fact an Assignment of Premier League payments, which need to be paired dirctly to the Bank. The Negative pledge is, in effect, a promise not to dispose of assets - Cant be arsed to see exactly what it relates to, but probably not to assign those proceeds elsewhere. As you say, given that the EPL monies are paid twice annually, there will be a need to have some sort of cash flow facility.

What is the obsession on here with Berahino?? He's hardly kicked a ball for two and a half seasons, is a spanner short of a full tool box, and clearly thinks he's too good fro WBA (who appear to be above us right now). Edit: Well perhaps not an obsession, but his name keeps coming up.

Ideally I'd like someone with European experience, and a track record of developing players. He should take an interest in all the youth levels and be prepared to blood youngsters. In return I would like to think the club and supporters will give the guy time to build his own team and, provided we're above half way and have a decent run in at least one of the cups I will be happy with his achievements for a first season.

I'm starting to like you......

On the last figures available, we were 12th by turnover. Since then Villa, who were above us, have been relegated, but I suspect Leicester have shot above us. We continue to punch above our weight, and yet the demand form supporters is for more and more. The big clubs pay significantly better wages and it should be no surprise that we lose players to them, and yet is it always seems to come as a surprise to many. The policy of buying highly rated young talent, developing them for a couple of years and then using those funds to develop the whole club over time has been clearly explained. I also like the way we are allowing our youngsters time to develop, and the philosophy of giving them game time is back. We are not a top 6 club, but occasionally we might have a top 6 team. Just enjoy the ride.

£650m, that's Red Bullsh1t.

Spurs - Modric, Bale, Sherringham and loads more I suspect Everton - Rooney, Lescot, Felaini and loads more I suspect. Basically, when a bigger club comes calling, they go. Apart from that, our model has explicitly been to buy young talent, develop them for 2/3 years, sell at a profit and re-invest the funds in improving the whole club over a period of time to where we can compete for Europe on a regular basis. Why is this so difficult for some to understand??

People forget Yosh was only 24 when he joined us. Now 28 he is getting to a prime age for a central defender. He's good in the air, and has pace, age and increasing experience on his side. His current contract take him to 2018, and I for one wouldn't be surprised to see an improved contract soon. In the past he has, by and large, only come in for the occasional game, and suffered because of that. I like Puel's philosophy of keeping these "fringe" players rotated so that they are ready when called upon. I think we'll see the benefits later in the season.
-
Why would anyone want to sign Berahino? Since 2010 he's managed 105 appearances, 23 goals. And he's disruptive.
-
Very clever. Bring out a "sell Shane Long" thread and, hey presto, his form improves and lifts us to a EL spot. Works every time.
-
Well you only have to compare the length of a post-match defeat thread to a win one to know that is true. I'm not anal enough to check, but my guess is a defeat thread is probably twice as long. Thankfully this place is not a representative sample of the entire fan base.

I thought he did ok. Broke up a lot of their play. IMO the substitution was more tactical than to do with Reed's performance.
