Actually, I'm struggling to name the players who've gone backwards. Do enlighten me.

What a disappointing result away at Anfield. Pfft. Some peoples need to get real. After years of getting hammered there I'm grateful for anything frankly. Even a corner is an acceptable result.

I agree with this post

Good. A little bit of stability is required imo.

A Korean ICBM would cause £5m of improvements. Simples.

That's Kelvin's job isn't it?

We're Saints. We don't just buy success, we scare the living **** out of it.

Yes, Sunderland. Does anyone use Kashmir by LedZep?

The shackles were recently removed from Councils, allowing them to invest their funds commercially to obtain a better rate than they can get on deposits. Despite the fact they all claim to be short on cash, they all, by and large, have massive capital reserves. There are plenty of Commercial Properties being bought up by local councils in the expectation of a yield of 5/6/7/8% depending on the class. One council is even part owner of one of the challenger banks.

What is the normal policy with players this age? Do we often review in the final year?
-
Bandits, most of them.

Yep, just cutting out the middleman. Celtic are our new black box.

I said in December (I think it was) that the rotation policy would stand us in good stead at the back end of the season, and I believe we are now reaping the benefits.

James Ward-Prowse for England? ...say that again ...
Faz replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
I agree he isn't the finished article. Where you see weakness, I see potential for improvement from a 22 yo who has shown the ability to learn and improve. Comparing him to 31yo Davis, who may occasionally take a game by the scruff of the neck, isn't terribly valid. As I say, give him 2 years - when he will still only be 24, and 3/4 years from his peak. -

I don't disagree, but this is not where he will make his mark. He is playing there because he can't be left out, and he doesn't yet have the physicality for central midfield, which is where he will be when he is running games for us and, yes, England. Two years from now. -

I will admit to being effusive in my support of the lad, but not to having multiple posting personalities! I'm sometimes a little too effusive as I feel the need to offset some of the blatant footballing idiocy - e.g. He should go on loan to a Championship team. I'm deadly serious about the FEC tag though. -

Future England Captain. -
Nonsense. We have a very discernible pattern of play. Clearly evident to anyone who cares to actually watch the game.

I don't

Whilst we all like to see the kids called up, and the Club PR Bandwagon gets a run out, in reality at these levels it means very little. Most of those named in the squads will not make it to the EPL, in the same way that most of our youth squads will not. The job is to produce a smattering of EPL players, whilst not destroying battalions of kids in the process (I hope & trust). If we get one a year that makes it, that would be astonishing.

Was there ever a free shuttle from Wiltshire?

And I guess you're pretty convinced the world is flat, whatever anyone else says

What did Forster do wrong?

I see Hart made two errors leading to goals yesterday. Always has had that in him. Why would we want an error prone has been from a mid-table inferior Italian League team.
