Perhaps he speaks Spanish as well as French? Basically he's the Chief Cone Putter Outer. How much influence will he wield when MP2 is bringing he key back room with him?

You might want to bear in mind we haven't yet bought anyone who is first team ready, so it's really a bit early to call all this. The best you can say is they're getting their business done early.

They have to replace the two players who are, arguably, their most potent. We've had enough trouble replacing Mané and Pelle. No-one knows if Klassen and Sandro will cut it. Keane only replaces one of the aging Jagielka and Williams, who will both struggle to play two games a week imo. Pickford looks good, but had ample opportunity to shine last season. Everton will clearly be top half, at least, but they are not guaranteed the "Best of the Rest" league title.

I lecture in history -
Don't see that happening.

What I liked was tha he learnt so quickly, and that he appeared to really enjoy the cut and thrust of it all - not just physically, but his whole attitude. Strong character.

WHU are going to have a team of pensioners if they carry on at this rate. I do hope they go down this season. Horrible, spiteful people in charge, and an entitled fan base just because they is London, innit.

of course if you have two players out with long term injuries it completely screws the stats. -

It isn't obvious to me. All I see is a goalkeeping and set piece coach, highly respected in the game, bar 8-10 people on an internet forum whose views don't matter much. -
I know people with mental illness who are not dickheads, and people with mental illness who are dickheads. I also know people without mental illness who are not dickheads, and people without mental illness who are dickheads. The two are not mutually exclusive and one condition very rarely begats the other. Although, obviously, not a trained psychologist, I suspect that if you are already a dickhead, having a mental illness will likely exacerbate your dickheadedness. I've kind of lost where I was going with this.

****ing hell, I wish I only wasted 20 minutes a day reading the drivel on here. Whether we recognise it or not, we are all rather sad people. -

You didn't need to state "exclusively", the inference in your post was clear. I really don't understand the incidious sniping at everything the Club/Reed do, despite the most successful period in most of our living memories. -

There is nothing contradictory about tracking players for years, and then buying players a manager is familiar with. In the case of Puel, we had already been after Bouffal, and we needed right back cover so why not Pied if he fits the bill? Unless, of course, Redmond and Gabbi are also French - in which case my argument goes out of the window. If Bednarek is Spanish I'll look even more of a fool. I hope we do unearth a Spanish gem or too. Their U21s are so technically gifted there must be others out there. -
Why do you do this?
-
Assuming VVD stays, if we sign the Polish lad we won't be signing another CB. It'll be Virgil plus Stephens or Maya as our starting CBs.

Celtic won't like being cut out of the loop

What?

They went so much to pot in the 2nd half of the season that they went from 13th after 18 games, to 9th after 36, achieving 3 more points. Begovic is ok, but not a major upgrade on Boruc. He's a decent mid-table keeper. Pompey - Stoke - Bournemouth, tells you all you need to know.
-
If Walker is worth £50m, then Bertrand is certainly worth more than £25m
-
Why? They had Ake for the first half of the season, and probably did better when he left. And Begovic bit of a journeyman keeper. Pompey, Stoke, Chelsea bench and now little old Bournemouth. Not saying either aren't good PL players, but one lacks experience and the other certainly isn't world class.
