Fair or not, I still think he'll play. Some players just give a lift to those around them merely by being there. I remember how everyone grew an inch taller when FF returned from his injury after just one U23 game. I suspect he will have played, or will play, a full scale 90 minutes this week behind closed doors. I would have done so.
-
IMO he starts on Saturday. He can come off after 80 when we're 4-0 up.
-
He can fume all he wants, provided he ultimately uses that as an impetus to play well and get his dream move - to Bayern or PSG, or Barca.

There's nothing like a good old PR lacuna in my book.

In a galaxy, far, far away.

We don't yet know whether Lander Sports UK is our owner or not. Seems likely as the issuing of 184m £1 share is in exchange for equivalent debt to Lander Sports Investment Co., Ltd (a Hong Kong registered Company), and is pretty close to what Kat received. Southampton Football Club Ltd is owned by St Mary's Football Group Ltd - owned by Kat. So either Lander Sports UK have acquired the shares in Southampton Football Club Ltd, or in St Mary's Football Group Ltd. Makes no odds. Ms Gao is the only Director of Lander Sports UK.

He can't keep up this "my head's not right" nonsense. He will be back with the 1st team, and then he'll get selected. It's ne thing dicking the club about, but if he takes the field and lets down his team mates, they will be merciless. I can't see him doing that. I expect him to be professional. There are no guarantees that Klipity Klopp will be back for him next July. He might be out of a job after failing to make the group stages, getting knocked out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round and languishing in a frankly laughable 8th place. If you keep signing players from the 8th best team, you'll eventually finish 8th.

We're a fickle bunch. He'll play against Watford and if he plays well he'll be cheered to the rafters.
-
Well, he HAS been TRAINING, just not with the FIRST team, which was PELLEGRINO'S decision. Provided his HEAD is RIGHT, as a centre back all he HAS to do is STROLL around a bit and have his HEAD sufficiently out of his AR$E to occasionally stick that same HEAD on the BALL. He'll PLAY against Watford.

The European window doesn't close until tomorrow, so Gardos could still move. A loan is most likely I would have thought.

Thank you. My (MLG's) point was that our squad is now stronger, and it is harder for youngsters to break in to it, hence why more are now going out on loan. The team is equivalent, imo.

Errant nonsense. SQUAD - just look at that bench, and their ages at that time. Give it up.
-
That'll be another fine right there.
-
Our team may have been stronger at some points (although not upon arrival in the PL), but in defence of my fellow pedant, he said the bar for entry to the Squad is higher. There isn't much doubt that our squad is stronger than at any time since our return.

What odds can I get on someone saying "meh" to whoever we sign?
-
Just called 111. They said it will pass so long as I keep taking my pedantry suppression pills.
-
Do you take everything literally? I hate myself for doing this, but there is an enormous difference between the respective ages/experience of the teams. Bakary 20 Hughes 25 Cook 19 Tafazoli 26 O'Driscoll 18 Baldwin 24 Wood 20 Edwards 24 Jones 19 Forrester 25 Little 20 Maddison 24 Barnes 20 Morias 22 Slattery 19 Da Silva 19 Johnson 18 kanu 18 Afolabi 17 Doughty 25 Even the Posh website in their headline refer to their win against the Saints youngsters.

He was absolutely gash to begin with. And was called out for it by many at the time. The quality only became clear once he stopped falling over his own feet.
-
I'd be surprised if Liverpool pay £3.5m after his performance on Sunday. I know his profile and bank balance are much the better for leaving Saints, but I think he would have been a better player had he stayed and played games. He could have been captain by now, and we'd be holding out for £70m from the Scousers.

Genuinely, it was good of you to pitch up, but you knew, I'm sure, that this was always going to be men against our kids. It was much more about the experience, and development, of the kids than anything else.

That's the best source you have?

Just out of interest, where are you getting this nailed on info from?

How can you be sure the world isn't flat?
