Liverpool agree world-record £75m deal for Virgil van Dijk

Agreed. My initial reaction was that he should have got it, but when you see the cross from behind Eriksen, it had pace dip and curl. The error was Romeu's I'm afraid. -

Who said we have to before we buy? -

It would have been cheaper for Liverpool to have bought the whole club 5 years ago -
The good thing about today was that it was the exceptionally good Harry Kane who scored the hat-trick, and not Ronnie ****ing Rosenthal. I've seen worse.
-
We bought his replacement already.
-
I blame Eric Black. Our fortunes will turn around when he leaves.
-
We’ve already brought his replacement. Let’s see who we bring in for the more advanced positions

It has worked before.

And Man City are lucky there are 19 teams worse than them.

There are some proper whiny prats on here. Great game, we fully played our part, and on another day could have won. A good point. Good use of the full squad with so many games coming up. Newsflash: We can’t play all our best players every game.

Crikey. Feel free to make me an offer......

It's more important to play with pace, than have pace per se. imo

Are you sure you're using the password which was in the email confirmation of the package you bought, rather than the one you use to log on to their website?

Is it fair to say that you have no idea of the veracity of that statement? Fee free to provide Board minutes. -
Does he qualify for automatic entry to the Defectors Thread?

The trouble is, the two games he has started (Wolves & Watford) he was poor, and we lost them both (not saying it was all his fault, but it is a fact). The boy has talent, and brings something different - one of the few players we have who can drop a should and beat a man (or eight). I want him demanding to be picked, and then delivering when he is. I agree if he doesn't start after Saturday , when his tail should really be up, then MP really has got question marks over him. For the moment, I'm still in the Gaston #2 club.

You can’t see Everton, West Ham, Stoke or Leicester staying this bad all season, but you can’t see Saints improving? I’ll give you Watford! Who are hav8ng their moment, but Newcastle will struggle more as the season progresses, as will Brighton and Huddersfield.. In short, you are a pessimist, sir.

The Club has been sending plenty of signals that we are no longer a selling club. Key to that has been signing players to longer term deals. Foresters clean sheet record bears scrutiny with the best in the league. Frankly, I’d rather stand by players than chop them off at the knees.

I don’t agree. He’s an England international keeper who is going through a bad patch.

Ah, the traditional “papering over the cracks” post. A little early this season methinks.

TBF he came on against a tiring and broadly beaten team. Yes they'd pulled two goals back, but they'd been chasing shadows all night. Hesketh caused them no end of problems, drawing fouls all over the place wih his touch - and his touch is much better than he showed last night.
