You suspect wrong. I arrived in my seat after catching the last bus from Central Station just after the handshakes. In any event, why the sneering disapproval of football fans who watch football match?

Can’t be right, the cognoscenti on here declared it to be a joke. I arrived tight to kick off (2.58), and it was empty!
  3. So your £200 membership, works out at £10 per game assuming at least one cup game. Less the cost of a match day programme (assuming you would buy it anyway). That doesn’t seem super bad. There are currently no memberships available. You’d be bonkers to pay £150 for the Man Utd game alone. Just go for a meal in Oxford Street and match day tickets.
  4. You could always try the Pompey Legends Lounge. £75 v Coventry and includes a 3 course carvery
  5. Pretty much how I saw things
  6. It's already nominated for the Football Forum Oscars: "Best poster in a leading and supporting role"
  7. Splitter Good move for the lad. I guess we get some sort of development fee?
  8. 10/20/30 years ago I would. At my age, and current state of health, I think it unlikely I would directly confront a young racist thug. If it was someone my age, then maybe. I’ve not witnessed racist behaviour at SMS, but did so at The Dell, in the family section, and confronted the stupid old goat. The point is, reporting racist behaviour is not grassing.
  9. Are some of you saying that racist abuse should go unreported because “grassing” is a worse offence?

  11. Who might this “someone” be? It certainly won’t be me. I wouldn’t think twice about using the number to report them.

  13. Yes sir, you are. I can only imagine your frustration. My post was aimed at those expressing faux outrage.
  14. There’s nothing friendly in the way you post. Well done on your dismal insistence on the precise yardage. If you can’t, or more likely choose not to, see the correlation between the two events, you are entitled to do so. It doesn’t make you right (or me for that matter, it’s all opinion). As for the rest of your post, wtf? Step away from the keyboard for a moment, the break will, I’m sure, do you good.
  15. Today, for the first time ever, I caught the train from Swanwick to Central (£3.55 return), and the the special bus from the station to SMS (£3 return). Left at the final whistle, back at Swanwick 17.46. Will defo do again.
  16. Don’t be so trite. Did you go to today’s game EXPECTING a win? I travelled more in hope than expectation. What I wanted to see was, a game plan, executed well. I wanted to see us play with some character and spirit, and I did.
  17. The point stands. I don’t believe I am, or ever will be, your pal. What a curious posting style you have.
  18. An attendance of 31,712, and two complaints. Perspective?
  19. Well observed, and respect to the Liverpool fans who joined in en masse
  20. Yep. Firmino should have done much better. I though he was worth much more than £20m
  21. Did yours work? Mine did, as did tens of thousands of others I presume as I arrived at 2.58 and the ground was full. Sorry for the fella who ticket didn’t work.
  22. Perhaps you need to recalibrate the expectation meter.
  23. Nobody is “happy” with a defeat, but there were a lot of positives in that performance. Yes, there were some individual errors, but Adams, JWP, Valery in particular did well. As did Djenepo when he came on. We gave the best defence in the league a fair test on occasion.
  24. Just on the train home. I really enjoyed that! In the first half I spent most of the time looking to my right - the goal Liverpool we’re defending! We played with some spirit, and really should/could have been two up before Manè scored. I was right behind Mané’s shot and It was a goal as it left his foot. Class. My boy and I thought they might tire after an hour, and they definitely slowed the pace in my view, but it actually gave them more control of the game. Then we gifted them a second, they should have sewn it up before Ings was gifted one and then we should have equalised. Enjoyed Djenepo’s cameo, and the way we played in general. Pressures on for a win at Brighton. PS Ref was poor.
