oh yes you do.

I would imagine pretty much all Union leaders earn more than all of their members, whilst simultaneously *****ing about industry fat cats. Feckin parasites, the lot of 'em.

Did we really have any intention of buying Promes?

I think you’re getting us confused with West Ham. -
Why didn't we just sell him then? Why did we give him a new contract? Why have we told Birmingham (reportedly) that he isn't for sale? I suspect because the coaches felt another season toughening up in the Championship, actually playing regularly at a relatively high level, was the best thing for him at this stage. Much better than sitting on our bench, or in the U23s week in week out. It currently looks like its going pretty well for him, and eventually, for us I hope.

Agreed Although as stated above, he had the luxury of not having to defend very much. Seriously? Come on, he was a poor PL defender. He didn't get pushed out becasue Shaw came along, Shaw got thrown in because Fox wasn't coping. Thankfully Shaw was able to cope, although that wasn't a given at the time.

I spent the first half of our first season back looking for Danny Fox. He was never where he was supposed to be defensively. WBA away did for him in the end.
-
Sorry, but I don't get this type of post. Why would he not get a run of games here, if we want him and are willing to play him? Why would any other club take a different view to us if he does well or, indeed, if he doesn't do well? There could hardly be a better example of a club which gives young players a chance.

No we aren't. HTH

It's pretty clear cut. Kane is not active until he attempts to become involved in the play. If Alli's pass had gone through to him, and he allowed to to run through for another Spurs player to get, he would not have been offside. Kane is not offside, and as soon as Lovren plays the ball, it's a different phase (and Kane can't be offside is it was played by a Liverpool player). Harsh on the defence, but we all want to see more goals, and the law is intended to favour attacking players.

I can’t imagine a worse job than babysitting 25highly paid prima-donnas “Hugo, I’ve locked myself out” “Hugo, I’ve left my phone at the strippers house” “Hugo, I can’t work out which Ferrari is mine” Etc etc

Are we a bottom team? Either we are and we start fighting, or we’re not and we’ll be ok.
-
Frankly, you can look at any of the teams, and their forums will be full of the same angst. I was thinking that Huddersfield, now they're in the bottom three, won't escape. But, of their remaining 9 fixtures, only one is against a top 6 side. They've probably got the best run in. Everyone else is more or less on a par.

Some people need to make their mind up - either the manager makes a difference, or he doesn't.

He's as tall as, or taller than 80% of the CBs in this league. What he lacks is his "man" body as Hoddle called it. You can work out in the gym and put on bulk, without really improving strength. That strength will develop over time.
-
You see, I"m not sure it is Pellegrino's tactic. I think the players have endured a pretty poor 18 months, and react that way by default. Fear at work.It takes strong leadership on the field to pull the team up the pitch, but easier said than done in the heat of battle.

I think we create plenty, we're not very good at taking them as exemplified by Long yesterday. We are third in the "hitting the woodwork" league (a stupid thing I know). But a couple of those going in, and that ridiculous goal for Watford ruled out, and we are comfortably top half. The way we play the ball from back to front is excellent at times. Oh, for a ruthless striker......
-
Whilst coaching is clearly important, if you have to coach that in to a 31 year old premier league footballer, he is not a premier league footballer. I dare say we were all "coached" to do that as school boys. At this level, you can't be coaching basic skills in to players.

He has to improve physically, but he can only do that at the rate his body will allow. Some people mature faster than others. He is a good footballer though, and his reading of the game is improving the more he plays. I'm for sticking with him. He will learn from his mistakes, I'm sure; And occasionally benefit form being taken out of the firing line. But not right now.

The boy done good so far. Leading the line, and even winn8ng a few headers - which ain’t easy against West Brom. A good couple of attempts too. Getting in the right places.
-
It’s not just us, but apart from a few notable exceptions (Clough and Dalgleish spring to mind) very few strikers seem to go in to management. Probably because they’re generally flash, fancy dan types who don’t have that ruthless streak.

It’s all pretty distasteful. It’s only football ffs.

This is the worst poetry I've ever read.
