Except he didn't. He said they'd offered £15m, but we wanted closer to £18m. If there is a release clause of £15m how would we be after more? And all he reported was we were after Promes.

It's usually a mistake to go back. The issue Everton will have is surely wages. MS will have jumped to big bucks at ManU, and probably didn't take a wage cut to join the Everton big ******** project.

I'm not aware of release clauses being a part of EPL contracts. They do have them in Portugal and Spain(and maybe a few other places), I believe, due to local laws but tend to be set laughably high.

Well, without having any contet this is pretty much meaningless, even if true. For example, if we'd agreed terms with the Club and his Agent, and then he changed his mind when Leicester came in, I'd put the hone down too. Nobody turns us down and goes on to better things anyway, apart from Zlatan (and maybe one or two others)

If we're playing 3 at the back, imo McQueen is a better back-up to Bertrand than Targett. Offers much more going forward, and so better suited to the wing-back role.

It seems Boufal is on his way and, if that is the case, I hope we don't replace him as I would like to see Sims progress.

I appreciate you get off on knocking the club at every opportunity, but if Targett wants to leave to play first team football, and is unlikely to do so if RB says, how is that a damning indictment. If we want to keep him, he stays, as he's under contract. If we get offered full value and have, or acquire, sufficient cover, he goes. Simples.
