Can someone please define what they mean by pace? If you just want flat out pace, sign Usain Bolt and be done with it. Movement, team shape, and speed of pass are much more important qualities in the team. The ball can move much faster than anyone can run. I'm not saying we don't need at least one player who can stretch a defence, but lack of pace does not make a bad player. MLT, Pirlo and many many more effectively prove the point.

It'll be interesting to see how the pressing game works over a 46 game Championship season. My guess is they'll concede a lot of late goals from November onwards.

You're right, it isn't a black and white decision between 3 or 4 at the back. In his post match comments yesterday Hughes highlighted that part of the issue was the back three not working out who was to push out and engage. The switch to 4 meant is was easier to engage earlier and win the ball higher up the pitch. In turn that brought our more forward players into the game. I am certain Hughes will persevere and will seek to iron out the issues we saw yesterday.
