Whilst I take little comfort from it, we did actually lay gloves on them a few times, which is more than most teams have done this season, and played well in parts - 6 shot on target when their average is something ridiculous like 1.8. They are just so clinical. Oh, and in Benjamin Mendy, they comfortably had the worst player on the pitch. Farewell Sparky.

We did pretty well first half. Good shape and pretty tight, with a couple of chances on the break.

A season playing regularly in the Championship will do him the world of good. He’ll come back first team ready.

Do take a breath. Ive no idea if you watched the game, but I'm guessing not. Nor maybe did you see Klopp's post match interview. I don't claim Redmond to be a world beater, but he is a decent player when in the right position and his confidence is not shot to pieces.

Generally, it's "now".

Ah, sarcasm. Very good. What was your tactical assessment, beyond the rather obvious “zero goals, and zero PL assists”
-
Your comments regarding Redmond demonstrate a misunderstanding of the game. He is clearly tasked to get in between the lines and try to cause trouble - he does it pretty well, and actually forced Klopp to take off Shaquiri and change formation, somewhat negating Redmond in the second half.

We were not that bad today. My fear was they would just play around and through us, and tbf that rarely happened. The three goals were not “typical” Liverpool goals. We clearly did lack ambition, although some of our passing and 8nterplay was ok. Redmond should have a pen, and PEH should have done better with his chance. Again Redmond played pretty well. Ultimately well beaten though.

I know it won't happen, but I would dearly love a truly World Class manager like Pep or Jose, so say thye are so convinced in heir coaching ability, they will take on a club like Saints (with our existing budgets) and achieve success.

An old boss of mine used tp say you can never win an arguement against someone with time and a typrewriter.

Have faith. 2-1 Saints.

It’s not his fault if Moi heads wide of a gaping goal. He’s played well, getting in between the lines and running at defences. I’d encourage him to keep doing that and the rewards will come.
-
He realistically needs to show he’s better than those currently ahead of him.
-
I console myself with the fact that, despite being the only club whose signings don’t work out, we haven’t wasted £29m on Cenk Tosun, and £45m on Sigurdsson.

I believe this is key. If you allow your Flawless sub to lapse then you will have to take a new sub through red party providers. Live subs work, and their support is still active too.

And, wasting scarce tax-payer resources by filing spurious and capricious FOI requests.

What a pointless non-story. So what.

As the resident Club plant, I wouldn't be doing my job without posts like this

I don't think we were alone in that

If Long creates the space for Ings to score, then it's job done. If Long wasn't playing on Saturday, that first goal doesn't get scored. Cedric was clearly playing it in to Long.

Your post was very specific on the one point about the scuffed clearance.

They probably cashed out at nil-nil.
