I didn’t see it last year, and after a season of not playing for Burnley don’t see it this year either.

New board structure announced on OS. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2019-06-24/southampton-football-club-new-board-structure-announcement No great shocks

Just curious, what are the top transfer fees from the Championship?
-
One thing is sure with VAR; Those leaving at 85minutes will be missing 15 minutes of football.
-
Man Utd and Swansea set the bar at £15m for James.
-
They definitively wasted a lot more money on Walcott than we proposed doing (allegedly).

Why the aggression? You have a different view, fine, but it doesn’t make you right. True RB played in a CL final, when they had no other choice, and then didn’t play and was loaned out for a spell at Villa, where he didn’t pull up any trees - these are facts. I am not blinded by the fact he is from our Academy. The point I was trying to make is that it is unlikely that Academy kids, with very rare exceptions, arrive as the finished article, compared to a 25yo transferee. Defensively, I personally don’t recall many occasions where he has let us down, although stand to be corrected. Like you, I have always been happy to see Bertrand return, but that won’t go on forever.
-
Peoples forget that Bertrand joined us as a pretty much unheralded 25 year old following an unsuccessful loan spell with Villa. There were a lot of doubters. Targett is coming up to 24, and has had a good grounding. If Ralph judges he is good enough, then in turn that’s good enough for me.
-
So your theory is wrong if The Daily Mail is wrong?
-
Don’t know they guy. Does he offer more than Sims?
-
I’d forgotten about Trigger. He was still better than Lee Todd though.
-
Because they’re both from north of Basingstoke, so they must know each other. Probably related.
-
He isn’t top class. But then again, if he was he wouldn’t still be with us. I’ll be very surprised if the links to top 6 teams are anything but b0llocks.
-
Nobody “tackles” these days - except Wan-Bissaka who picks up a booking per appearance. Pace is not the most important attribute for a full back - there are plenty in the PL who are similarly paced. There is a tendency to obsess on the weaknesses of our players, rather than celebrate their strengths.
-
I understand the accepted viewpoint here is precisely this, but I’m struggling to think of many times where there’s been “where the fluck is Danny Fox” type moments with Targett, nor where he has been comprehensively outplayed. I’m sure it’s because I’m old and people will correct me.
-
No,no I think you’ll find that the club is engaged in covert manoeuvres to plant fictitious stories to make the sale of Bertrand more palatable to us idiots on a messageboard. Obvs innit.

About time we cut Celtic out of the loop
-
I’m not quite sure of your precise role in the club so, for the time being, will assume you have no idea who made which decisions.
-
What is your point? You seem very confused. What right do we have to an owner who ploughs tens of millions of his own money into the club?
-
So nothing to do with Ralph wanting to work with a smaller more committed squad then? They (whoever “They” are) gambled.....
