  1. There appears to be a new section on the OS about the sports science and medical backroom team. I'm not sure if we've always had these people (apart from doctor and physio obviously) or whether its a new development. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/team/?page_id=9934
  2. They all look really fit and strong. Full marks to JP. I was moved by how delighted and relieved Dyer appeared to still be with us. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/team/?page_id=6587&player_id=5
  3. Are you a fan of closed threads?
  4. That coach bottom right is a modern design. More like mid 1980s IMO.
  5. Thanks. Good news that JP has found a way to work John into the team. Hope he stays. We'll need more than just McGoldrick.
  6. Tis all true. Found this whilst looking for a good comeback. Amazing what you can find searchin for "crap graphic design"
  7. The amount they spent on graphic design takes your breath away. This takeover is going to awesome. Clearly they have the budgets of small countries.
  8. Good shout. Cant go wrong with those odds
  9. What did you think? did we play well? any stand out performances? ta
  10. The same has happened in all kinds of sport in many countries. The days of the gallant little teams competing at the top level through their own resources has gone unfortunately. Money dictates league tables in most sports - from Formula 1 to American Football and beyond.
  11. My point, as I suspect you also know, is that your assertion that it was Lowe's unique mismanagement that did for us only holds true if comparable teams had a different outcome. They didnt, they got relegated as well. Ergo something much bigger and wider than the 'Lowe effect' affected us - ie the rise of the rich mans plaything club. The long and the short of it is that no-one chose us to be the beneficiary vehicle for them to flaunt ostentatiously just how rich and powerful they were. If they had we would be in Pompey's position. Having Lowe in charge had zero effect - except arguably staying up for one or two more years than we would otherwise have done.
  12. So how come pretty much all comparable sized teams also got relegated? By your reckoning we should be the only ones who suffered because we alone had such a terrible, terrible man in charge.
  13. What difference does it make? The end result is the same. Coventry, Leicester, WBA, Sunderland, Leeds, Charlton, Notts Forest, Birmingham. All the teams we used to battle against in the prem also got relegated. Only those clubs with a sugar daddy and or massive support have gained. The idea that bad things happening to you is all someones fault belongs in the playground.
  14. The idea of people hating public figures they've never met amuses me.
  15. He's going to be a key figure in the Fulthorpe Saints catering revolution.
  16. The trouble for any fans activist group is the same - supporters at all clubs only really want the same two things - success on the pitch and lower ticket prices. No fans group can deliver those two primary objectives so they instantly become largely irrelevant. The only role I can see is either as a general purpose supporters group (social events, travel, news /website etc) or working towards one specific issue (funding a player, buying up a block of shares etc)
  17. I used to go to the Bedford until ten to three and arrive just as the game was kicking off. I think I must be a bad fan
  18. Thats hilarious! All this from man who set up a website so he could talk to himself. Anybody who happens to pass and opens a real dialogue is banned so as not to contaminate the purity of your thought!
  19. Ambani. Trousers has confirmed it as 100% fact and that he is sailing up the Solent as we type. At least thats what I inferred from his earlier post
  20. In essence thats what this whole Lowe luvvie / Lowe hater divide boils down to. Whether you think Saggy did a stonkingly poor and negligent job for us in relegation season or whether you think Lowe in some way hamstrung him /should never have appointed him. Saggy is the man people should be tonking IMO.
  21. Sleepless in Seattle?
  22. Bit harsh. No wonder people said he didnt have the balls for a relegation scrap. I would have settled for castigation.
  23. I agree we dont have enough strength in depth, lack cutting edge and are playing a team /system forced on us by neccessity. That makes the fact that I think we will do better than last year - staying up by one goal on the last day of the season - all the greater indictment of last years players. Lets not overlook the fact that no-one has been beating a path to our door for Rasiak, Saganowski or the others. What little interest there has been has been deterred by their high wage costs. So overpaid? yes.
  24. I believe the CCC league table last year.
  25. go on then, I'll bite. What is it?
