My American and Canadian colleagues are laughing at how crap we are about dealing with a little bit of snow. I just drove 100 miles this morning without the slightest problem - in fact the journey was better than usual because of lack of traffic. The only problem was following one idiot for a few miles - every time he came to a shiny part of the road (a puddle cwhich presumably he thought was ice) he braked hard - which apart from almost causing accidents was the worst thing to do on ice anyway.
