Regardless of party the first four years of any administration are normally better than what preceded them, the second four are so so and after 10 years they have totally lost the plot. After winning in 1979 the Tories should have handed over in 1989 and similarly Labour were pretty good up until 2007. Too long in power isnt good for any politician.

So in summary; people are slagging off a player who played well in his first game and scored a good goal. Despite being only brought in as cover for Perry and Saejis he still isnt good enough.

If he was asked "are you pleased with the support of the board in not losing any players during January" there isnt much else he can say.

I agree with this. I listened to the Corbett interview, the first time I'd heard her speak at length and was impressed by her obvious commitment to the club and passion over so many years. She also seems like a 'nice' person. Both she and Crouch are clearly fans with probably much more unconditional love for the club than others on the board, but very passionate fans dont often make good stewards. Seemed to me as if the red mist has come down and the blinkers are on. Apart from the Crouch /Corbett / McMenemy and Lowe /Wilde camps most people seem to agree a totally fresh start with someone untainted by the past is the way to go - and that is the one thing that isnt on offer. IMO you cant underestimate just how destructive unsettled politics are to team performance, ability to attract good staff and players and the general 'feelgood factor. Its no coincidence the club has been underperforming for a number of years now while the sniping from the sidelines has been going on. I'd like to see silence from now until the end of the season. In the close season by all means have an almighty power struggle. I dont care who wins, as long as the losers slips away gracefully ends involvement with the politics / ownership battle.
