  1. He might mean 'discrete' as in completely separate bidder. hth
  2. What a skill. You should take up divining for water or gold.
  3. "By Saturday". Sounds like Friday to me.
  4. Now I know how my kids feel on long jouneys. Are we there yet? Have we been taken over yet? Please just say yes. I prefer being lied to.
  5. Was that yesterday?
  6. D1 is all about technically limited but fit players in their prime running chasing and pressing. We'd be royally ****ed if we start forming a team around a bunch of 35 year olds who just want to stand in the centre circle and spray passes around.
  7. With apologies to the creditors, especially the small tradespeople, I hope Fry gets it wrong. The less any purchaser has to spend on buying the club means more (in theory) left to spend on rebuilding it.
  8. I googled 'Lance billionaire' and got 133,000 hits, but 'Lance briefcase' only got 97,600. Pretty conclusive IMO that this is the real deal.
  9. Its a wake up call to those who still think a billionaire will waltz in and save us. Try as I might I cant see why anyone would stump up £15m for a L1 club, unfortunately.
  10. Great finisher, the best we've had for ages - but let down by a **** attitude. The fact he was so capable of scoring just emphasised how often he turned up but couldnt be bothered IMO.
  11. So we're being bought by Jim Beam then, or Gallachers fags? Cant see it myself.
  12. IMHO Aviva as the mortgage holders would settle for £1 more than the highest price they could get for the site SMS stands on, after the cost of demolition. This isnt my area but I'd imagine that would be somewhere around £10m.
  13. I guess Barclays wouldnt hold off on administration on speculation that maybe someone might be prepared to pay up to £5m at some point in the future.

  15. It does raise the impossible prospect that maybe Redknapp wants to be nice to two of his former clubs.
  16. True. Cant see it myself, but we sure could use the money.
  17. Ooh get her. You've become closer and closer to the Stanley model. Bitterness against Lowe doesnt help objectivity.
  18. http://www.clubcall.com/southampton/prem-duo-eye-swoop-895906.html Tottenham and Fulham are being linked with a £5million summer move for Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana. Saints will be forced to cash in on their star players due to the club's precarious financial position and Lallana, along with fellow midfielder Andrew Surman, is set to be in demand. Spurs and Fulham are set to battle it out for the services of Lallana but 25 per cent of any transfer fee will have to go to the player's former club Bournemouth. Any sale could come too late to save Saints though with reports in the press claiming the club will go out of business in eight days unless they find a buyer.
  19. Oh God. Not more of the same.
  20. Poor try Morph, must do better. Trying to blow out someones elses candle doesnt make your burn brighter. I have no idea whether Ratcliffe is involved in anyway, personally I doubt it. However he isnt an asset stripper. He normally buys up legacy plant, old technologies from blue chip companies and runs them for cash. Highly leveraged certainly, but not an asset stripper. If anything he keeps open slightly dodgy factories which should have been closed years ago.
  21. Translation of Stanleyism. " I don't give a **** about the club if it gets in the way of my Lowe hunt". Who cares about the gagging order anyway. Its not like were going to find out Mother Theresa was a brothel keeper. At a guess we'll find out Lowe was disliked and made some dodgy decisions. Hardly hold the front page stuff is it?
  22. We know. Its in the newspaper article links.
  23. Terrible echo in here.
  24. Who knows. Could possibly be something in it. Mebbe. Mebbe not. http://www.moneyweek.com/news-and-charts/profile-jim-ratcliffe-britains-most-private-billionaire.aspx http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://business.timesonline.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00321/Ratcliffe_321854a.jpg&imgrefurl=http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/specials/rich_list/article3795961.ece&usg=__DCL29V9TxVetl1K_Ifka76T8Buk=&h=295&w=185&sz=9&hl=en&start=9&um=1&tbnid=p0vClkAlJjICyM:&tbnh=115&tbnw=72&prev=/images%3Fq%3Djames%2Bratcliffe%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1
