  1. There are almost certainly more willing purchasers for 20 acres of land on the edge of the New Forest, 12acres in an area being developed for housing and 6 in Southampton City Centre, adjacent to the water than there are for a flat on its back Lg1 football club.
  2. We did do this a while back and some posters like me thought SMS, Staplewood and Jacksons Farm could raise c£8-10m even in the current climate. Those were guesstimates, but if accurate it would set a fairlly high minimum tariff for a Lg1 club.
  3. Vectis you are hilarious. In one breath you complain about any crticism of potential buyers about which you know nothing, because you dont want to scare off the last chance - yet it was thousands of people boycotting games because Lowe was in charge that partly caused this mess. Remind me, how much did you want Lowe to stay and how supportive of him were you?
  4. Yes clearly repeating what was broadcast on national radio can only be described as intrusive digging and "spreading malicious unfounded gossip" - guaranteed to make all possible bidders run away and cry. Vectis - the Sage of Toytown strikes again.
  5. Good job this isnt on the Michael Fialka thread.
  6. Excellent post. MLT has done nothing wron other than lend support to a bid he thought was going to save Saints. Okay perhaps the Swiss shouldn't make him Chairman, but to not make him Club President or Chair of the Advisory Council or somesuch would be a mistake imo.
  7. Any mention of who the Swiss are? Rich guy, consortium, company?
  8. Are you going to stalk them as well?
  9. Luckily we dont need the dodgy Pinnacle money because were going to lever in millions of pounds from Switzerland instead.....oh
  10. Even the communiques dont make sense any more. Who is the client - Fialka or "the consortium"? If the consortium are providing the money how come Fialka will be the legal owner? If Fialka is borrowing the money from the consortium how the F is he going to pay it back and invest in the club? Way too many unknowns and inconsistencies.
  11. You can read it that way - but equally you can read it that football is in such a state with excessive fees and wages and most clubs in debt that the FL want to send a wake up call to the other clubs to get their houses in order. One way to do that would be to let a club with a 'name', but not too high profile, go to the wall. Who would sue on our behalf once we've gone - not Begbies or the creditors.
  12. Current player captains French U20 side to victory over Turkey - no mention. Ex players who left us for greener pastures perform poorly for England U21 - viola - a thread on it.
  13. I believe he lives at home with his mum because I've read the articles in the Jewish Chronicle, seen the quotes from his teamates and checked him out on the electoral register. You believe he doesnt because you dont want to face facts. Please come round for a game of high stakes poker any time soon.
  14. Thats true, but since we were promised..... A tycoon worth several hundred millions - and got live at home Michael Fialka Completion with days, maybe hours - over 10 days ago and still have stalling Adminstrator refusing to believe Pinnacles reasons for not completing are valid .....then I think fans have a right to be just a tad sceptical.
  15. Its a message board mate, you know - where people discuss news and issues as and when they arise. When the facts change, the opinions change.
  16. How come ex players frequently get lauded on this site but current players get slated or ignored. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1703585,00.html
  17. Thanks for that.
  18. Opened talks last weekend, sufficient interest to meet yesterday.
  19. We're nearly there. We have a club fought over by the fans where no-one is getting paid anything.
  20. He did. Read his statement.
  21. Hard to argue that things are any brighter than that.
  22. Fo okings never happen on a Friday. At least not in my household.
  23. I very much hope to be offering shame faced apologies to Pinnacle in a few days, but realistically, if Fialka is the lynchpin, we'd better pray the Swiss are still interested.
  24. He's the patsy who has been footing their bills
  25. Having the money 19 years too late doesnt really help.
