  1. Lovely. Plastic walls are so much preferable to ceramic tiles.
  2. You've got to admit car crashes are fascinating, especially when they involve your neighbour. I think most on here would like you to survive after losing all your best players and getting relegated - saved by a stable but not too rich buyer so we can play you for a season or two.
  3. Just goes to show you cant judge people by appearances. He always looked like such a successful, reputable businessman who was good for his word.

  5. Your basket is currently empty How apt.
  6. I should have known to only post stuff from the 'Sport' not the Independent. Know your audience.
  7. Good interview in the Independent today with the former League chairman and now chief seller of UK clubs (though failed at Saints). Well worth reading. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/profiles/keith-harris-at-the-end-of-the-day-the-beautiful-game-is-facing-financial-crisis-1881281.html
  8. That makes no sense tho. Surely the ad revenue must exceed the cost of the equipment?
  9. Ultimately both the club and the paper have more to gain by having a close co-operative relationship based on trust than being at each others throats. Assuming that trust can be regained, they should kiss and make up asap.
  10. If AC Milan were interested I imagine, as someone else said, it was because they hoped he could bring similar investment into them rather than any particulalr management skills he could offer to the club.
  11. My understanding is that NC was a private banker /wealth manager before becoming involved with Saints. By its nature thats a discreet, behind the scenes and out of the limelight role - hugely different to being an operational manager responsible for large budgets, staff numbers and associated contracts in a high profile organisation. I'm sure he is very skilled in many departments - but that doesnt mean he doesnt have quite a bit to learn in others.
  12. Yep and add Ince's comments hinting that whilst he is talented enough for the prem other personal qualities, inconsistency among, them have kept him in Lg1. Why would Plymouth loan out rather than sell a Lg1 superstar? I worry the bloke is a talented but frustrating pain in the arse.
  13. TBF I think they're JW's.
  14. If they've got him on a low basic plus big pay per play and goal bonuses could be a good move for them.
  15. If we'd got 1-1 after a ding dong battle against a strong side playing well I'd be happy tonight. Most disturbing thing for me was that Brentford were pretty poor with little cutting edge up front and still most of the game was played in our half. Like others have said, KD MoM by miles.
  16. answer the phone
  17. Ormerod's main job was to run a lot, draw defender to him and make gaps in the opps defence - giving Beattie space to score. He did that very well. People who say his was crap dont understand tactics imo.
  18. Odd is a popular man's christian name in Norway.
  19. Bit unfair on AP, he's done very well for us.
  20. Anyone would have struggled with the conditions we had at the time, including AP. Good luck to him, I hope it works out.
  21. Maybe WGS is planning to **** Emily when Lallana goes.
  22. Hes been here less than week. Its a cleft stick. He needs to see what we've got and what we need before deciding on potentially uneccessary signings - but equally the season is fast approaching. IMO he is looking to see who is good that he can get on a free before splashing whatever cash he has in order to get in the remaining players he needs to fill the rest of the holes. Whats wrong with that?
  23. Ive no idea about his character, like you. I imagine he was a competent out of work manager looking for a good club to take forward. Given what a low base he is starting from and the resources he is likely to have, I'm sure he'll do very well for us.
  24. Great, they could do the cabaret - three rounds of hand to handbag combat with a goose stepping theme.
  25. 24 goals from 143 appearances - what else do you need to know about a striker? even if a lot were substitute appearances
