  2. I thought that too, sad. Not too surprised about 'House of Cards Ltd' folding though.
  3. What concerns me almost as much as the poor results is that in the last 6 or so games many of the players have looked ****ed off and disinterested. Pardew now has almost entirely his own team. Weve spent very big for this league and yet if it wasnt for KD I firmly believe we'd be in the relegation zone of Lg1. That is poor performance by the manager - whether because of buying the wrong players, deploying the wrong tactics or simply failing to gel the team. Its not unreasonable for Cortese to be clear about what he expects.
  4. Ive got that one. Have you seen the others in the 'US ladies' sex doll set?
  5. These golden showers aren't all they're cracked up to be.
  6. Its not racist to want a taxi driver who speaks fluent English any more than its racist to want one who can drive. Race has got nothing to do with language skills. Understanding directions is a vital part of the job and having a chat with your passenger a nice added bonus. By the logic of some posters here it would be racist to insist an English language tutor spoke good English.
  7. Is it any good? Might give it go

Depends how old your kids are. If 10 or under Menorca is fantastic - great beaches and fly with Easyjet from Gatwick for around £100 in Aug. Stayed here and it was very good. Get half board for 2adults and two kids for £114 per night in Aug http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g658911-d565623-Reviews-Paradise_Club_Spa_ApartHotel-Cala_n_Bosch_Minorca_Balearic_Islands.html
  9. I reckon their business plan was based on gates of 14,000. With an average of 20,000 and no debts presumably they have more money sloshing around than they expected.
  10. "Fair point well made".
  11. I guess its an attempt to hive off the assets and leave the debts behind in a rump company. Wont work with HMRC though - the tax debts would take precedence.

    Stupid

    That showed her.
  13. If the boards are on a concrete floor you still need to put insulation underneath otherwise they'll still be cold. http://www.celotex.co.uk/Applications/Floors
  14. I want a tattoo and beach ball like those.
  15. I've got this in my kitchen and really rate it for under ceramic tiles. Floor is nice and warm and you dont lose any wall space to radiators etc. Essentially you've got two options - wet or dry. Dry is an electric mat, like an electric blanket - which is very thin but very expensive to run, especially if you dont put any insulation underneath it. A wet system is run off your central heating boiler and passes hot water under the floor. This is what ive got and Id recommend it. If you dont want to actually heat the room, just take the chill off of cold ceramic tiles then you can get undertile heating - which is like a dry system but much less wattage and therefore much cheaper to run.
  16. Yes water vapour traps heat too. And as temperatures rise due to higher ghgs you get more evaporation and since warmer air can hold more water vapour than cooler you get ever higher temperatures - known as positive feedback. Did the Mail not mention that part? What a surprise.
  17. Come on as sub, create mayhem and score I should imagine.
  18. Agree. Didnt look up for it at Brentford either.
  19. No competent scientists dispute that different gases trap heat more effectively than others - its the whole reason we put argon in double glazing. Higher concentrations of CO2, methane, nitrous oxide and a few others trap more heat in the atmosphere. Indeed without some of those gases temperatures on earth would be around 20c colder than they are now and we'd all be huddled round the equator trying to keep warm. Those facts arent seriously disputed by anybody. So whilst its possible to argue than sun activity and natural weather cycles all play a part - which is true - if you know that greenhouse gases in the atmosphere have been going up since the industrial revolution and also that the planet is getting warmer - why would you not control ghg emissions? Its likely that ghg emissions are driving climate change and the costs of a warmer planet are going to be far higher than the costs of removing carbon from our human activities. You pay a small price to prevent the massive costs of a calamity - its the whole basis on which we insure our houses against burning down or being hit by a plane. You might not think its likely to happen but you sure as hell dont want to be totally screwed if it does.
  20. Agree with all of that - but i still dont think the papers should have the right to run **** stories on people just because they're in the public eye. Its no-one elses effing business and there is no public right to know - especially when at least blameless 3 kids are going have the lives made hell at school.
  21. Happens to them all in the end - good running the country for the first few years and then get grand ideas on being active on the world stage and start to lose the domestic plot. All PMs should be elected and limited to two terms of office like in other countries imo.

  23. Lol. My dad was in the merchant navy during the war on the Russian convoys. I guess he must be a dirty, gun running, commie loving, Stalin mass murderer supporting bs'tard.
  24. Since he was born two years after the end of WW2 and Hitler's death thats a bit of a stretch.
