'An error has occurred. Please try later' Sums up their recent history nicely.

I combine the two - phone a taxi and ask him to deliver a bottle, fags, pizza whatever. They never seem to mind.

to the extent of making the directors personally liable or criminally negligent?

Its the airlines who are resonsible for the blanket ban. For years they refused to agree a safe level of ash because they didnt want to risk getting sued. Its only now their losses are in excess of what they could have to pay out in court that they are suddenly demanding to be allowed to fly.

I'd like to bypass administrator and go straight to owner. At least the bit where people send me £5. Im not greedy. Other people can do the paying our for IT stuff or delivering the service.

Thats the system I'd go for. Still not perfect, but a massive improvement on first past the post.

Ive used these people for two sets of french doors. Very good quality at reasonable price. Persoanlly I think I would go for wooden windows as youve said - but these aluminium ones are good and low maintenance and are specifically desinged to replace crittalls. lots of pics of period property installations. http://www.duration.co.uk/heritagewindow.asp

surely he is duty bound to call the meeting as soon as he possibly can, to minimise incurring further debts - not hang around for a good news day?

I fear it will be too late to stop pompey getting away without meaningdful punishment. I'm damned sure there will be action to stop the whole stinking mess happening again though, whichever party wins the election.

A greater number of MPs representing many more small parties of all shades would be a good thing. A few more independent MPs wouldnt go amiss either. Its only the Tory / Labour self interest which has kept electoral reform from happening.

Accountant Nick O'Reilly of Vantis, who had prepared the financial statement that Pompey had to submit to the High Court in February, said Pompey's business methods had gone "against all good governance". "I came away not knowing who controlled what," said O'Reilly. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/low/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8628604.stm

Might well be that the price the LDs extract for entering a coalition with Labour would be replacing Brown with someone else.

'No Representation Without Taxation'. That would be a stonking slogan for the LDs to campaign on. Both the Tories and Labour are guilty of taking contributions from prominent UK tax avoiding 'non doms'.
-
See, THAT, I would vote for.

I think the Times is the only independent paper. The Guardian is labour, Telegraph tory, Independent is green / liberal. The others are comics and should be ignored.

I like John Prescott. One of the few left who dont run every action and thought past 10 media advisers, pollsters and style gurus first.

I like A1 Steak sauce, but it tastes nothing like HP brown sauce. However HP make their own steak sauce which tastes exactly like A1.

Justice Minister Claire Ward reassured employers that the new legislation is aimed at people who exploit others, and is unlikely to impact on responsible employers who comply with current law. Employers will need to comply with the new law. But if they already comply with existing employment law they’re unlikely to have anything to worry about from the new offence. "Forced labour requires a level of coercion or deception beyond that of a normal employment arrangement. For the new offence to apply, the employer must have known the arrangement was oppressive, or turned a blind eye to that fact." http://www.justice.gov.uk/news/newsrelease250310c.htm

no but this does

We should be trying to reduce the population of the UK imo. It makes no sense to import more people when there is already a shortage of affordable housing, unemployment, congestion on the roads and lack 'wild' accessible public open space.

I agree. There is a big difference between what the News of the World does - which is basically to snoop into peoples private lives and then try and entrap them so that they can splash a 'how terrible' story and what the Echo has done - which is to report a criminal case.
