Not everywhere in Europe is the same temperature. Interesting revalation.

You know its a charging system not a fence right? Petrol stations work on a similar 'pay to drive' principle.

Odd logic. Wind has been the cheapest way to generate electricity for quite a while now

I think you'll find it was Pollyanna who had the Phd in Climate Science. Goldilocks was Astrophysics.

It is super complex because there are so many variables. Many climate scientists think we should be entering a mini ice age now but arent because of increased ghgs. Obviously a mini ice age could be as bad / worse than increased temperatures. Trouble is we arent smart enough to to be able to regulate the earths climate to the Pollyanna 'not too hot not too cold' ideal so our only option is to keep the climate as close as possible to that which we evolved in and are adapted to. CO2 is a tiny part of the atmosphere but is 40% higher than 150 years ago and every time CO2 has been in higher concentrations the earth has warmed. The argument that CO2 causes plant growth which release CO2 which causes the rise has been debunked by many methods, but not least by the fact that enormous deforestation and loss of vegetation over the past 200 years has not lead to reducing temperatures. Decent explanation here as to how and why atmospheric CO2 causes temeperature increases https://news.climate.columbia.edu/2021/02/25/carbon-dioxide-cause-global-warming/

Developed countries have reasonably comprehensive and reliable phyisical temperature recordings going back c250-300 years. Obviously its much more patchy for many other countries and temperature recordings of the oceans (the worlds heat sink which cover two thirds of the planet) are much more recent. It doesnt matter much though because the single indisputable fact is that more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere traps more heat - regardless of where they came from, man made or not, or what the sun is doing. The full effect of ghgs in the atmosphere now will not be felt for another 50-100 years, just as a duvet doesnt warm you up immediately you get under it. For those who think 1.5c is no big deal, its the difference between the average temperature of London and Toulouse, or between Toulouse and Teheran.

Programmes reflecting the audiences they serve and partial or biased news echoing what people already believe are not the same things.

I'm bored. I could do something more interesting but then I probably wouldnt be able to work from home 4 days pw or get paid as much. I've done edgy, worthwhile, famous people stuff in the past which means its easier now to sell out, bank the cash, go on holiday and get new tweeters for the car stereo.

Depends whether he sees religion as about personal belief and values or about crusading. Some issues are and should be primarily personal choice in any event its very very hard to ban abortion absolutely. Cases of rape and incest or the pregnancy endangering the mothers life have relatively little opposition to terminations. Once exceptions are made then where the line is drawn is just a value judgement

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

According to the country's Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) classification system (2021 data), approximately 73.8 percent of the population is Jewish, 18 percent Muslim, 1.9 percent Christian, and 1.6 percent Druze. -
Not sure 30 days is enough to make it legal

There are so many logic gaps in most conspiracy theories it's amazing even the dim believe them. Re the mosquito / malaria one, mosquitoes are born malaria free, they only become carriers if they feed on the blood of an infected human, so unless there arte infected humans already in a district there aint going to be an outbreak.

No, but read this background to it https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65821747

Isn't there some other place to dump this Thames Water effluent pipe?

Besides the Wagner Group, Prigozhin is notorious for setting up the St Petersburg troll farm that has infested comments boards for years. This announcement is fascinating because it lays bear some of the true extent of the propaganda machine. For sure more dirt will end up in the public domain, maybe Trump, Brexit and Johnson...

I worked with Icke at BBC South covering Cowes week one year. He was clearly in the middle of breakdown and was problematic to work with, probably the reason he'd been let go from national BBC football presenting. The level of his connection with reality has been pretty tenuous since then.

Massive logic gap. Crashing your car is a good opportunity to buy a new car. Doesn't mean the car crash was deliberately designed to force you to buy a new one.

If she's really fit it might be worth it.

Exactly. Same with trains, disabled toilets, small cafes / bars etc.
