Simple. Because global temperatures had been on a downward trend since at least 1,00AD. That trend started to suddenly reverse as industrialisation and forest cover reduction spread. You dont see sudden upticks like that in nature

Guess what? dust bowl conditions in the American mid west in the 1930s did not equate to high global temperatures, they were at or below average. It was the 1940s which were actually warmer than average so if someone wanted to cherry pick data to prove warming you wouldnt start then. I dont know how clear you need it.
