There is far more money to be made from accepting cash from Shell, Exxon and the other parts of oil and gas than mediocre government research grants.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Erm no . It’s was around 20 times higher under the Major Tory government with 88 escapes in 1996. Blair / Brown successively reduced that to 5 per year in 2009/10. The Tories have maintained it at about the same level since 2010 -
I know its sarcasm, but losing 3-4 one week and winnning 4-3 the next will get you both more points and more money through the turnstile to buy new, better players than 0-0 ever will .

Ive never seen the book but it is listed on Amazon where 2,275 reviews have given it a rating of 4.6. Jeff Bezos, the richest man alive is a communist pervert. Who knew?

Your evidence of Biden being a whack is a video entitled 'Pastor goes off on school board over graphic sex book' Do you know the difference between the President of the United States and a locally elected committee? You know Sunak doesnt choose the library books at Millbrook Secondary right?

Of the Republican wannabes it seems to me only Nikki Haley (maybe) is both able and stable. For the Democrats, Joe Biden clearly shouldnt be running again. Does make you wonder if western liberal democracy has much of a future if the entire field drawn from 350 million people doesn't throw up a really strong candidate.

Not quite sure why East Stand Nic struggles with facts. Perhaps its because he only likes his own alternative ones. Real fact. The Republicans have only won the popular vote in a Presidential election once in 35 years - George W Bush's re-election in 2004. Both Al Gore in 2000 and Hilary Clinton in 2016 got more votes but lost the electoral college. Like real grown up candidates they accepted the loss It's only the orange clown, the wannabe King for life, that cant accept democratic votes, except when he benefits from them.

Says something about you, not about Trump or Biden. The US is split pretty much 50:50 between Republicans and Democrats. And of the Republicans around half say they wont vote for Trump.

Ha good point! Could be another court case brewing....

There wasnt much wiggle room to give anything much. The whole point of a single market is common rules, rights benefits and obligations for all members. I doubt we'd go back as memebvers anytime soon - it would be too politically damaging and humiliating. Very close alignment - ie going back in 95%, effectively in except in name is a different matter.

I think you've misunderstood the essence of growing up

No. If someone acts like a toddler seeking attention, functioning adults ignore it. They dont form into a gang of toddlers endlessly compaining about toddler behaviour.
-
I know he's a pain. Im not defending his posting style. Until about six months ago he was mostly ignored and posters just carried on around him. Now the obsessives derail every fucking thread he posts on by generating endless repetive spam compalining about SOG. Hey here's a thought stalker boys - youre all aged 35-55 not 14. Be a fully functioning adult and ignore it.
-
There's always a pile on, every single time. He may have unfairly included you in the weirdo stalker posse but that doesnt mean its not there - every single time. Same four or five core posters obsessing about SOG in a really psychologically disturbing way.

They want to take over from China as the worlds technology and manufacturing hub, but are currently seen as a bit backward and poverty stricken. Things like a space program changes perceptions and build confidence. But yep, it sucks if you're hungry and sick

I'm sure they will be broken down for parts to keep other old, non London, cars on the road for even longer

Scally isnt big on facts or logic. Maybe post using reference terms like Rothschild, Bilgerbergers, NWO, 5G and vaccinations instead

What is your argument exactly? do you even know? Are you raging against taxation? against pollution controls? against a Londoner having to sell their old diesel and buy an old petrol car funded by £2,000 of taxpayers money instead? The WHO set air quality standards. Until ULEZ London routinely massively breached them, now its doesnt. As Fan the Flames said, there are some legitmate pro and con arguments for the ULEZ expansion, but your posts aren't any of them .

From those annoying activists / Bilderbergers the Royal Society of Chemistry https://www.chemistryworld.com/features/urban-air-pollution/2500224.article This year, it took some London streets just five days to exceed the entire year’s worth of permitted hours above 200µg/m3, with Putney High Street, Oxford Street and Brixton Road among the offenders. In 2015, Oxford Street had reportedly exceeded the total permitted time in just four days. Heading to the courtroom It’s perhaps not surprising therefore to learn that London is believed to be the worst city in Europe for NO2 levels, thanks largely to high numbers of diesel-powered vehicles. And public awareness of the issue is growing, in part due to a high profile court case currently being brought against the UK government over the matter.
