Having seen the whole incident close up I cannot believe the lies and exagerations which were subsequently put around about it.... including in the Echo It was never anywhere near as bad as many of the drama queens on here made out. Great keeper. Would we have more points if he hadn't been "rested" for several weeks as a result of the saga? .....Based on what we've seen since I think so!

In summary ... last Friday (for understandable emotional reasons) the vast majority of posters to this forum were inclined towards extreme bed wetting and white hanky waving. However, having reflected over the weekend, a large proportion have suddenly had a flash of inspiration and now recognised Don Cortese as the cast iron second coming of Christ born in human form to live amongst us in Southampton. Rejoice! Someone has to be wrong - the choice is yours.
