I can't begin to contemplate NC going. He's controversial at times but he's 100% behind the vision and doesn't hestitate to act ruthlessly if he believes it's in the club's best interests I also think it's interesting that, after the criticism he received earlier in the season, we still currently have a 94% vote in his favour. Some doubt his style - but it appears that virtually everyone still backs him.

So who would we want in if MP does go ?

FFS ! Yesterday I was floating. Today a cloud is again hanging over us If Cortese leaves it will be a disaster - no question of that in my mind. Even those who love to hate him MUST realise that is obvious. He is one of the best things to happen to our club for years - finally a Chairman with ambition, determination and (dare I say this) a ruthless streak lacking in many clubs. Sort it our please Might whatever is going on in the backround reflect what's been going on (or rather not going on) for a few weeks??
-
We are safe - totally safe If we ship enough goals next week to go down - we deserve to .... and even Jos can't score that many own goals!
-
Safffffffffffffffffffffffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! Baring a 10 goal thrashing next week
-
Given our goal diff and the fact the Villa play Wigan on last day I think we are now safe ? Is that right - unless our goal diff gets battered at some stage?
-
Hopefully we will know by the end of today that we are safe - DIY Saints!
-
I was hoping Wigan would lose the FA Cup They may benefit from a "bounce" on Tuesday? Or they will be knackered?? I suggest Saints do us all a favour and stuff Sunderland tomorrow - that way we can all have a restful week and not have to worry !!
-
Chelski and Spurs result tonight helpful for us I think
-
Whatever the results this weekend I think it's highly likely that Wigan will be beaten by the Arse next week - which will mean we are safe "through the Arse" anyway - not a pleasant thought
-
I think we are safe now ...not mathematically, but from the point of likely results It would be nice, however, to do it ourselves and not to have to rely on others getting beaten . Time for our squad to show some balls ?!
-
I shall sleep more easily tonight
-
I remain totally convinced, and have been for weeks, that 39 points will not be enough for safety this year The Sunderland game is now crucial. If we can win we can relax at SMS on the last day of the season ... Lose and we may well be heading for a trap door
-
Tonight's and tomorrow's games are massive for us What results do we want - bearing in mind we play Sunderland this week and Stoke next?
-
My percentage probability is that I will probably be sat at SMS shi*te*ing myself all the way up to the final whistle on 19/5/13 And my percentage certainty is that I will cry like a small slightly demented child if we slip through the backdoor into the Championship
-
Exactly - the reality is teams fighting for their lives tend to pull off unexpected results (Wigan last year for example). We desparately need to up our game because neither Sunderland nor Stoke will do us any favours and, after our WBA performance and failure to see out the game yesterday (having played so well), both will see us a potential targets for points I really don't think 39 will be enough this year. 40 probably will be - assuming we hold on to our better goal difference
-
I really wanted to be at SMS on the last day of the season with us safe - really pis~sed off it's gonna be yet another squeaky bum last day of the season in the Premier League
-
I am worried now that we will fail to get anything from the Sunderland game ...with Stoke having a style of play we find impossible to cope with the assumption "all we have to do is beat Stoke on the final day" is a big one IMHO Result ...we could still go down
-
I'm sufficiently depressed tonight to seriously consider watching the Voice UK! FFS! That's how worrying this all is
-
100% agree Our destiny is in our own hands and we really should have seen that out today ...having played so well for 90% or the game. If I was MP I'd be reaching for the biggest hairdyer availabe
-
Can i just mention that I am starting to hate Gareth Bale - and I never thought I'd say that Controversal - but true
-
Haven't you gone a bit "Star Wars Yoda" with all this stress?
-
Well the less than 1% chance has long gone out the window now! I think we should still stay up - but it's going to be bloody close Despite what some people say I would not like to be at SMS in two weeks time having to beat Stoke - they are just not the sort of side we beat given their style of play Only a decent result against Sunderland will do
-
As indeed are we.. The difference is ..they are getting the results and we are fcu*king not Great goal from Bale ..but having played so well we really needed to see that out! And we failed to do so.
