Sadly we’ll be left with a pile of utter shite in terms of players for next season. Anyone decent will be on the first flight out of this shit show. And who can blame them?
-
Would not surprise me if it is Danny Rohl
-
100% agree. WTF are the club doing?? Useless
-
Surely that’s Res Ipsa Loquitur??? Though roughly translated it means exactly the same - “The Fcuk Up Speaks For Itself “

The wholesale reorganisation of SMS to create the so-called “Northam Wall Of Sound” has, without doubt, been a colossal failure and massive waste of money.

Derby’s lowest points relegation record definitely looks under threat

I have never been a fan of Martin and I honestly believe that Saints were promoted last season despite him and not because of him - primarily as a result of Saints having one of the best squads in the Championship. The best managers are those who can adapt a team’s style of play to get the best out of the players they have. They also need to be the type of person who shows some humility and accountability when they’ve made mistakes. Look at Gaurdiola yesterday! Martin had one plan dominated by an increasingly irrational obsession with possession football at all costs. Part of me feels sorry that it has come to this - but then I think about some of Martin’s arrogant and self righteous interviews this season and I rapidly get over it. Doubtless he can console himself with the £5m+ he walks away with.

“You have been managing too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.”
-
We will get hammered and Martin will make his usual pathetic excuses. Our club has become the biggest joke in the Premier League and an embarrassment to many life long fans. Apart from that I’m quite optimistic.
-
It is clear that the Board’s key tactic this year is relegation at all costs. Once you get your head round that it all makes complete sense.

Optimistic rather than wrong

‘Pride Of The South”. Ask Bournemouth or Brighton

I have never been a fan of Martin and I honestly believe that Saints were promoted last season despite him and not because of him - primarily as a result of Saints having one of the best squads in the Championship. Any lingering doubts went out the window today with his appalling substitutions which handed Leicester the game. Typically Martin negative and intended to “see out the game” at 2-1 rather than taking a positive approach and win it. He MUST be sacked sooner rather than later. Leave it much longer and the squad will be so broken that we’ll have zero hope of staying up. On the positive side Dibling will be worth £60m+ in a fire sale - another great young player who’ll be lost from Saints as a result of another relegation and sell off. One that is totally avoidable if The Board finally shows some balls and sacks Martin tomorrow.
-
Disappointed Martin didn’t get the England job. That would’ve solved our problems 🤣. But probably created new ones for England.
-
We have 1 point. Martin needs to be out the door now. Leave it much longer and we have no chance of staying up.
-
The sooner Russ is out the door the better. We were promoted last season despite Martin not because of him. What finally got us over the line was that we had one of the best three squads in the championship in 23/4. With the money spent and the players we had nothing less than promotion was what was required last season. A better manager would have had us winning the league by a mile.

Used to have his name on my shirt. I was appalled by the way he left. A long way back to redemption as far as I am concerned. Glad it’s only a year for a back up appointment. I can just about stomach that.

The new ticketing arrangements are a total shambles. To try to resolve problems via the ticket office is even worse. Literally hours of waiting time! Is it beyond the club to take on a few extra staff - or at least extend office times over the peak periods??
-
I’d say that has been a feature of the entire 23/24 season 😬
-
Who would have thought that we’d actually still have something to play for at this point? Massive game tomorrow night. Hopefully Saturday’s defeat will have taken the edge off of PNE’s determination.
-
Great win. SMS rocking with that goal. ……but RM’s substitutions continue to baffle.
-
That’s the spirit ……Though sadly very likely to happen

I voted no but it’s not an easy decision. I just feel that with the squad we’ve got we should be doing even better than we are and in a solid top 2 position. I also feel that Martin sometimes illogically persists with particular tactics and players to make a point that he’s in charge. The sign of a good manager is to recognise when you need changes and not be too stubborn to accept your mistakes. After a bad result he often says that he accepts full responsibility but then makes the same mistakes again.

My heart says glorious win. My head says another tedious 70% performance capped by a lack of Saints goals and a late capitulation.
-
We ought to win this but after our capitulation on Monday nothing is certain.
