if only he'd held the shirt the other way round we could read the name on the back. Guess we'll never know -
..... Most consecutive league wins ever in English Football - 14 . If we can beat it the 15th will be Cardiff away Most Consecutive away wins Football League 8 If we can beat it the 9th will be Derby away Most Consecutive away wins in English football 11 If we can beat it the 12th will be Bristol City away Most Consecutive Wins at start of a season 13 If we can beat it the 14th will be home to Middlesboro. If Roy Castle was still around he'd have a programme just for us.

I think you do misunderstand, unless you listened to the commentary during the game. You can listen to Solent streaming online as per the radio broadcast whether laptop or pc, tune-in or whatever UNTIL the match starts, then the game is replaced with a recorded messag

That's what I love about football. How wouyld video replays ever help with so many different interpretations? Absolutely nailed on red. In my view other player wasn't running into him. Barnsley guy went for the ball, had one leg low at full stretch, no momentum, and his whole body weight was leaning back and away from Chaplow trying to avoid him. Definitely a second movement from Chaplow which looked to me like he was trying to "avoid" a collision by putting his foot and weight into him then launching himself backwards using Barnsley guys thigh/****** as a springboard

Only if the big signing was me .

At least you quantified it with an "almost certainly" I can only speak for myself. Don't go to games regularly any more. Haven't bought a programme since god knows when, probably still at The Dell. I've asked someone to get a copy of this one for me as from the cover I am assuming (possibly incorrectly) that inside I am going to find an interesting article by / interview with NC. He's opened up a bit pre-season giving a bit more insight into how the club is run and plans for the future, I'm hoping there's more inside. Any players/match action pic would not have gained my interest in the slightest. A picture of the ML flag would have made me think " Meh, seen a picture of that already". So in my market research sample data of 1 the cover alone has ensured a 100% increase in sales. (before The 9 points it out I am aware that 100% of zero is still zero but you know what I mean)

Not read the whole thread so may have been mentioned but the need to post out tickets could be done away with completely. Cinema tickets can be booked and paid online, you just turn up, stick the card you paid with in a vending machine and out come the prepaid tickets. Technology wise it could probably even extend to opening the turnstile for you, although some sort of ticket would still be needed to show seat number. They still charge a fee as well but nothing like £3 but with no postage their costs are lower. Only downside , but an upside for club, would be not risking getting there too late as queues likely to build up. Earlier arrival=potential to spend more whilst you're there.

Barton Rovers rings a bell for the team at Wembley. I'd say we outnumbered Luton three or four to one that day

My point wasn't whether you like it or not, it was the fact that it IS a funeral tune.

OK You've got me in two minds here. If that was intended as ironic humour then If it wasn't then

I take it you understood the meaning then Gemmel, I had to look it up I'll second your sentiments though

So, roughly speaking, costs every fan the equivalent of an extra £1.25 per game (whether that be from increased ticket price, "Cortese Tax (****ing stupid title) parking fees, eating more burgers at SMS or wherever,) that covers the salary of the one man that not only masterminded the rescue of the club but has changed virtually all of it's business practices to ensure it's continued survival and (hopefully) future successes. I'd have thought any fan would see that as good value
-
Why should they bother to explain a price rise?. It costs them more, they charge more. I'd hazard a guess that you can't find a single clothing manufacturer/supplier exporter in the far east that hasn't increased prices in the last 12 months at least once if not more.

WTF? Only heard last night Deppo was banned. Just read through this thread. Christ there are some small minded tossers on here. IMO he was the funniest poster on here. But I appreciate humour is a personal taste thing, some people like Lee Evans, I think he's ****e. Wouldn't want him banned from my tv though, I'd simply switch over so I can ignore him, Speaking of which, oh look, quelle surprise there's an ignore function on here. So for all those that have been "offended" by Deppo over and over again, why haven't you simply got him on ignore instead of whining like a bunch of spoilt kids. Even if he has made the odd genuine insult ever heard the expression "sticks and stones ......." ? For the first time I'm tempted to pay up the £5 just so I can add a Deppo avatar but realised that maybe the Deppo banning is a revenue raising ploy designed to achieve just that. Think I'll just remove saintsweb from my bookmarks instead and find a board with some grown up rules

Supply and demand . Coventry and Derby have both got plenty of other teams within an hours drive people (lovers of football as opposed to committed fans) can go to instead. Geographically Chelsea is probably our nearest "competitor" for football lovers (don't think I've forgotten anyone there)

Meanwhile pre season fixture opponents are still to be announced ...

I noticed this billboard ad along Millbrook Road this morning. With talk earlier in the thread of NYC type collar etc is it more than coincidence I wonder? And in true post season 2+2= whatever you want it to equal conspiracy stylee, with the team being whisked off to the USA for their "reward" maybe we've more than just a similar kit to look forward to

I guess newspaper/tv editors are instructed by the courts that they can't mention certain things as the court knows how to get hold of them to advise them of such. But no one has been able to explain to me what law I had broken by naming him on twitter if no-one has issued me with an official notification that I can't mention him. In future, if injunctions are to be enforceable, judges will have to notify everybody in the country (as anyone can post on the internet) of the details of the story that they must not mention, so in effect there won't be any need for any of us to mention it as we'll know that everyone else knows anyway. I think I know where you'll be able to get hold of him tomorrow
