That's how I read it too, with an added caveat that stadium is being purchased by Robinson IF the valuation is what he/they want it to be AND his planned deal to raise funds goes through AND he can't think of an excuse not to go through with it without losing face. The money from the HNWs is available already to buy the club. Then the pledges will only be needed for the day day running of the club. So they are home and dry. It's all over bar the final paperwork. They've got away with it. Course, we've got no idea what will happen in the second week when the pledged money runs out.

Corrected it for you

Do you mean deluded in their backing of the trust, or deluded in their statement about running out of funds on 21st? (Guessing 21st will be payday this month what with all the bank holidays)

He probably wears his " I'm a PTS Nutjob" t-shirt. The rest of the world is so grateful for our efforts an upgrade would be the least to expect

Has anyone considered that the Judge maybe a firm believer in the Mayan calendar and simply thought "You want 28 more days? Ok, who gives a ****"

I can see why my daughter's told me I was wrong now. 3rd exit (or 4th or more) goes without saying (although not to all of us it seems) , but on a roundabout of that size I thought correct manouvre was to also take right hand lane for second exit and indicate left on passing the first junction. Luckily they are unlikely to read this so I can escape the "told you so"

Doesn't matter which way round they do it they have to take the -10 hit THIS season, as it applies when they come out of admin , and they can't start 2 seasons in a row in admin. Edit before posting: Doubting myself now , when does season end and new season start? Last lick? Certain date? When next one kicks off? i.e. can they end this season in admin, sell in summer, and start next season out of it. When would the -10 be applied then? Next year or retrospectively against this years total? Be even funnier if they finish season safe then lose 10 points and get relegated.

What a shame this all comes too late for last night's British Comedy Awards. Still, there's always the lifetime achievement award once it's finally all over

M271 goes both ways but assuming you mean towards Southampton, my understanding was always that on a 2 lane roundabout with no markings to the contrary you should always be in the right hand lane until you pass the junction before the one that you wish to take (in your case the one back onto Ebound M27) and then signal left and change lanes when safe, before turning off at your required exit. However both my daughters have passed there tests in last couple of years and tell me I am wrong

Northampton Town in the 1960s must have been a hell of a ride.

Damn beat me to it. Have to excuse him though, he's too young to remember it

In other news, Elvis MAY make a comeback tour, Shergar MAY win next years Arc de la Triomphe and Redkrapp MAY keep QPR in the Premier League

I read it that way too. I'm guessing that raising the funds any other way would be considered a supporters trust but just a normal business proposition - if the words normal and business could ever be used to describe the way things are run down there. The hands of the countdown clock are nearly vertical now.

That's why he was my favourite jazz musician. I think jazz is great when it "sticks to the script" but just loses me when the musicians "go off on one" for a couple of minutes before coming back to the original tune.

Ditto. He may be gone but thankfully his music will always be with us

This is impressive posting for three reasons. 1) His English must be improving rapidly for you to know all that (that's not meant as an "I don't believe you" post as I know you're in a position for him to tell you) 2) You used the words "out of respect" , probably a first for you on here, possibly anywhere. 3) You know how to put that little accent thing over the o in Gaston

Not just me then, had 4, lost them all

Exactly this. And if those dozen are hooked on getting ****ed out of their minds every so often why are higher pricers going to stop them. Does it stop drug taking? No, they'll still drink the same amount and find "other ways" of obtaining the funds necessary. I'd be in favour of raising drinking age to 21. When we were younger we left school, started frequenting pubs (not necessarily in that order) but our "locals" were full of a mixed age group who would sort us out if we overstepped the mark. Now kids head straight for the clubs, full of their own age group (or drink at home amongst friends) and don't have others except door staff telling them when to stop. Raising it to 21 would get them used to socialising without getting ****ed, hopefully by then they won't feel the need. I'd love to see the continental cafe culture take off over here ( only thing I'm pro-Europe about) but maybe we need some longer warmer evenings.

Agree with this, totally the wrong way of dealing with the problem they are trying to overcome. But, looking for a positive, it might make some of the big breweries up their game, If they are not able to artificially lower their costs they'll have to improve their taste and quality to make their products stand out.
-
Don't want to get too cosy with them, they'll be our nearest rivals when the club down the M27 finally disappears

Find myself doing it and the more I try not to the worse it becomes. The O in OK I pronounce as in toe, before I've cleared customs in Spain it becomes O as in clock. People are taking the **** because it's Barton, had it been Ricky Lambert's scouse accent most here would be saying it's great he's picking up an accent already, shows he's mixing with his team-mates well etc etc
-
Yeah but you're forgetting, this is Portsmouth Football Club we are talking about, that doesn't operate like a business !

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-20442906 We see reports like this pretty much every time an English team plays in Rome or Naples. How come there never seems to be any calls for their clubs to be banned.?
