None of which is really relevant though until we qualify and know who else is in there with us. It's the ranking that would determine the seeding, we could increase our coefficient but unluckily find more teams with higher scores than us qualify as well that time round, or conversely we could climb the rankings with a lower coefficient depending on other qualifiers.

So that's where the "Claus spent a hundred grand on grass" rumour started.

It was the "Don't thing Long" that I spotted first. Ironic post of the first order from The Prof there. Hoping this doesn't now spark a debate on the meaning of irony

Getting them drunk first usually makes it easier.

Hmmmmmmm ......... methinks you may be coming in a little low there.

Is a player-issued but never worn away shirt for the 2003/04 Uefa campaign one worth hanging on to?

Used it in February boarding at Ashford. Definitely showed passports AND tickets to both the English border official then the French one 10 yards further on before being allowed into station. Couldn't say how much attention they paid to the name on the tickets but both requested them. Can't remember what happened coming back but with the current migrant crises I would hope they'd be even more thorough than usual.

What is this sex I hear so much about? I win.

Have you ever bought a pint in London? Everything costs more there. Not a reflection on quality or value.

Maybe on the way back from the meeting you could actually try it and let us know what happens.

Premier League footballer tests positive for cocaine
Wurzel replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Is cocaine performance enhancing? Surely, unless it's taken with the pre-match meal or a quick snort at half time, if anything it would have the opposite effect. In which case what's the problem? I'm not condoning dug taking but if it doesn't artificially improve your performance then why, apart from "image" reasons, should football authorities concern themselves with it? Employers, i.e the clubs, on the other hand should be coming down on it like a ton of bricks. -
Yep. only 16/1 in a two horse race whilst Saints are 1/250 . If you ever wondered how bookies make their money ......

From the comments section Maybe "Who the **** is laughing now" needs changing too "He who laughs last laughs longest"

3 reds in 3 ties after qualifying via the fair play route. Are they trying to make some kind of ironic point? As for original query was wondering the same

ITV may be ****e at football, but their coverage of this was excellent. Loved the light hearted style of commentary/analysis which would turn serious when required, and the FAQ sections were great for a newcomer to the sport like me (and I suspect without being patronising to those who already understand it). I went from one who occasionally tuned in in previous years to admire the scenery to an avid watcher hooked on every single days highlights.

Now that was rather exciting. Would love to pop over there to see a stage live next year. Atmosphere looks amazing.

Follow these handy instructions and you will be able to unlock the turnstile with it.

Not sure if that was intentional in your reply to alpine_saint ..... but I see what you did there

Great post. Rojo - forgot we were (allegedly) in for him. Pretty forgettable as a player as it turned out. I've been watching Saints since the 60s. In that time plenty have asked to move on to "better things". Very few have actually bettered themselves footballwise by doing so. Unfortunately plenty have financially. Meanwhile Saints have carried on, rarely seeming worse off (on the pitch) the next season despite the loss of one or more "stars". We seem to be one of those clubs that, under most (but not all) managers, have a knack of creating a team that is better than the sum of it's parts. Which is why many don't seem quite the same when they leave (biggest case in point, Steve Williams? ) whilst little old Southampton continue to confound the critics. The nice thing is we used to confound them by staying up, now we confound them by knocking on the top door. Players come, players go, but the club should add a motto to the badge "To Be Continued"

Yeah, must be like being bored but comfortable in a safe cosy marriage, fancying some other bird who doesn't fancy you back (but might next year when her current partner's not up to it any more) and having another one (or two) you don't really fancy trying to entice you with promises of all sorts of exciting things you're not currently getting at home. Tough decision.
