Oooh that hurts. It may, for all I know, very well may be. But you know what my next question will be - "How did that something much bigger get there?" (Assume same response to any suggestion(s), 3 posts a day limit prevents me from continuing ad finitum)

I don't believe for one single moment that an old bearded man in the sky created the earth/universe on a whim. But I just can't get my head round the Big Bang Theory either. I mean, what exactly was it that went Bang all those years ago. A friend who allegedly understands all that tried explaining it to me once. Didn't matter what he said my next question was always "but where did that come from?" I just can't get my head round how anything can come from nothing, but even if it's taken down to the tiniest atom that went bang my next question is still the same. Something (whether it be solid, liquid, gas) had to be there to go bang, so how did that get there?

What's more, as previously mentioned, he took a step down to join us, still seeing it as a step forward in his career. He believed in us as much as we believed in him.

BIB And that probably says more about Wanyama and mane than it does about Saints. Great news extending Bertrand, seems like we are ticking them off one at a time in order of priority. Long then Tadic next. Would love to see Fonte rewarded with security of a long contract but maybe he's getting on a bit now, no room fo sentiment in this game .

Yep Bournemouth have cracked it . Home AND away both look superb, with WBA away splitting them for my top 3. All the others just get a "meh". I really like Aston Villa home shirt too but couldn't see them on the list ...... oh yeah

He was playing for Bayern Munich. They were so dominant the only way they could make their domestic games competitive was their players agreed to only use only one foot. We're a 6th/7th place side, he'll be allowed to use them both for us. BTW some of his one touch (one foot) control of long balls hit to him was superb

Bet I wasn't the only one had to look DACH up

No offence taken,I agree with you there. What I meant was little thought in making them individual to any particular club. Seems like each manufacturer designs 2 or 3 templates (which probably does undergo the research you suggest)and that's it, each club just has to have their colours fitted into that. In Euro16 England, France, Portugal, Croatia, Poland and Turkey all have exactly the same Nike shirts, just different colours. At least Croatia have the balls to insist on their red and white check.

The whole reason that a Gucci shirt costs that - not that I'm condoning that sort of pricing - is that they are not mass produced and you are not going to see 1000s of others wearing the same shirt. But as you say, £50 for a performance type shirt with the added detail a football shirt usually has is not too bad. My gripe is that little or no though seems to go into the design process, why should they bother when they know from past experience that x thousand people will buy one whatever they come up with.

Kit takes it's inspiration from classic English culture.

In response to "Good he had a bad attitude" Guan posted a video of "You got it, (the right stuff) KBSS followed up with a pic of a guy totally of his head looking like he's on something dancing with 2 cats. Add that to the knowledge that he "turned up late" a couple of times and there's only one interpretation I can put on it. -
Maybe they considered as we didn't turn up there last season we won't be needing one this year
-
Well I liked it

The list was PL appearances, he only breaks the 300 if you count the 2 seasons in the championship. Seems general consensus matches my own, 3 years is a decent stint nowadays, anything longer shows good club loyalty (or no-one else wants them lol )

Once again, with Wanyama's imminent departure, questions are being asked as to why can't we keep our top players? This begs the question in the title, how long do we expect them to stay? . Clearly certain players can be very influential to the team and we'd want to keep them forever. Conversely if we started a season without making any changes over the summer we'd be complaining about no ambition / treading water. As a point of reference the list below are the only players (in order) that have played over 300 times in the PL for just one club. It's a surprisingly short list. Seems nobody stays around anywhere very long. Ryan Giggs Jamie Carragher Steve Gerrard John Terry Paul Scholes GaryNeville Leon Osman Jason Dodd Gary Kelly Gabriel Agbonlahar Sammi Hyypia Dennis Bergkamp

Your first Saints manager appointment and preference?
Wurzel replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
First game was 67/8 with Ted Bates in charge, so McMenemey was first appointment. If I recall correctly he had already been taken on as Ted's assistant months beforehand - with a plan to take over when Ted was good and ready - to ensure continuity. That's a practice I'd like to see us continue today, although I guess only a young up and coming manager would be willing to play that waiting game. As for who I wanted, in a pre-internet, pre-clubcall, pre-pretty much everything era it never even crossed my mind there was a choice. -
Why don't we simply appoint The Black Box as manager?

We'd have to change the hashtag from #WeMarchOn to #RideOnTime -
Thinking the same a few days ago. And ties in with our American links. 33/1 eh? Worth a punt

http://www.espnfc.com/united-states/story/2888187/united-states-results-under-jurgen-klinsmann-now-what-we-hoped-for-says-sunil-gulati Looks like the USA are preparing to part company with Jurgen Klinsmann. Can I be first to nominate him as the mystery man.?

BIB .... or as we call it, a Stepping Stone

Is it a cover version of this?

As much as Pelle, Tadic, Mane and Wanyama have been good players for us, I can't help thinking that if they all played for other teams this season none of them would be top of our HCDAJFU list.
