  1. Very good in-depth articles, well researched and much better reads that you'll get in any newspaper/website. Saints have one guy in particular - Carl Anka(?) - who follows and writes articles about us. (At least I assume it's one guy, could be a team using one pen name). Not only seems well informed but actually replies to readers in the end of article comments section. It's very much an "own content" website, not an accumulator of stories from other sites. For me the trial price workinbg out at £3 a month is well worth it. Not sure if I'm interested in the non-Saints articles enough to renew at full price after 12 months but I'd definitely recommend giving it a go.

    20/21 Kit

If it's even close to that it'll be better than any since the last sash. I know stripes are our tradition but not a fan of them myself, plain with a sash creates a much stronger bolder apearance IMO
  3. First 15 Minutes - "Shit what's happened to us?" Remaining 75 Minutes - " This is just too easy" Not looked at any stats but aafter 15 minutes that was as one sided as any PL game ever gets. Attacking wise there were 3 or 4 occasions where we simply had too many options creating momentary indecision and the chance going begging. Obafemi is still very much in the learning stage, good to be in a position to give him a full game. Couldn't help thinking if Long had been in some of the positions he found himself he'd have done things differently but that comes with experience and hopefully SL can pass on some of his knowledge to the youngsters during his extended contract time here. Watched on the "real" noise channel, was surprised the only clear swearing it picked up was the "FFS" after another crap McCarthy clearance (for which Sky issued an apology 🤣 ) . Have they been told to tone it down or are all the non-English swearing in their native language?
  4. Massive support doesn't necessarily bring success. They've always had it, yet not won the FA Cup for 65 years, or the top division for 93 years. There's a hell of a lot of of clubs with smaller followings have done better, even we've won a cup in that time period.
  5. Nice fresh look - and I don't need my glasses 🤣 I guess if you're ever going to lose a month or so of data doing it in a period when the entire football world had shut down was as good a time as any.

    20/21 Kit

These kits? Not bad at all. Just get rid of the little unnecessary 3rd colour detail at the sleeve/shoulder seam (just find that annoying on the sash shoulder). Clean , simple, smart. Just don't bugger it up with a crap sponsors logo
  7. Is it just me eyes or did they play without a ball in those days?
  8. True in a nostalgic, good old days way, and I'd love to see every club going back to those basics. But the way the PL is run, can you honestly see them going any further than their current "punching above their weight" status working under those constraints?
  9. Especially as many of thos players will have various sponsorship details providing enough income to live off of comfortably for a while (even at their standard of living) without taking a penny in wages.
  10. Would it though.? What level of funding would be needed to ensure that it could cope with a crisis of this magnitude bearing that may not ever have even happened. Same argument as why doesn't SCC have more gritters and snowploughs. If the NHS had had a bigger budget, likelihood is more would have been spent on cancer research, mental health, reducing A&E waiting times, it still wouldn't have been able to cope with this.
  11. End of season bonuses will be a big incentive
  12. Even that is easy to overcome. A club can sell if they wish after 30th June if they need the financial income to survive but player can not play for new club till the new season starts. As thiongs stand at the moment I can't see any point in planning for a new season with absolutely no idea when it will be able to start (if at all). Better to finish this season whenever able to do so then cross that bridge of the next season once that time comes. It might end up with 20/21 not even happening at all, but a season not taking place is preferable to one getting 75% completed but not finishing.
  13. Of coursde the season can be completed. They can simply grant an indefinite extension until all fixtures have been completed. The only issue there is players contracts ending in June but a simpe football wide edict that all contracts will be extended until as and when all current seasons are completed could cover that. The more difficult problem is how to fit next and subsequent seasons into whatever timeslots are available to them
  14. Maybe they do but there is absolutely no way the PL (or any other organisation) would reveal those details to the general public. Wherever you get your £4b from is just someone's guesswork. And even if he did have £4b that doesn't mean he has it in liquid assets to spend as and when he likes. There are plenty of individuals and companies worth a fortune on paper but without a pot to **** in as far as ready cash goes.
  15. If the Euros are postponed until next year (as looks increasingly likely) league fixtures could be realistically rearranged up to mid July to complete the season
  16. Even better when the club cant refund them all as they.ve already spent the money on promotion push/ground development/new crease-resistant tablecloth for the boardroom etc
  17. I'd be happy with that. Spent all my life supporting this also ran, nearly club. If it means someone like them adopting us to enable us to compete consistently with the big boys that's fine by me. Some will claim that's not the sort of club we are. I've been watching us since the early 70s. We're a million miles away now from the club we were then, adding a bit of corporate global ownership won't change us any more than the last 50 years already have,.
  18. Actually got a decent stream on Saturday and noticed their web address ldsports.uk going round the perimiter advertising. It still seems exactly the same as it did back when we'd first heard of them, including their claim of a Maybe Blue Chip means something else in China
  19. Ther Premier League will be stopping the pre-match handshakes routine UFN. So some good has come out of thgis already then
  20. I'm always capitalising titles, I never have been sure if it's correct or not but, to me, it just looks right. I completely agree with you about the title itsef being grammatically wrong. I'd go for the question starting with "which" out of preference but either of your examples would be correct. Most of my pet hates (and there are many of them) have already been listed but I have one customer who, when describing something ordinary, consistently uses the phrase "communal garden" . But* my biggest gripe is the growing tendency for people - footballers being interviewed are a prime - but far from only - example, who start to answer a questuion with "Yeah, no ...." . *Probably shouldn't start a sentence with "But"
  21. Just don't let the stranger sat next to you hug and kiss you when we score and you'll be fine.
  22. To be fair that was just home fans. 2206 aways in a total of 18839. Can't have them thinking we are understating their figures, they'll be using that as another lie from us for years to come. Still pretty crap though I guess they can't squeeze many more into their tiny ****hole. No doubt they'd have sold 60000 tickets if they had a big enough ground (And taken a million to Wembley if they'd let them have anough tickets)

    Europa battle

BIB If that had been said at the start of the season I'd have assumed we'd have been discussing staying up. Discussing overtaking those two for a chance of a Europa place reflects positively on all 3 clubs and their performances this season.
  24. Christ talk about a glass half empty post, but thinking we still have rivals on the South Coast sounds like someone has taken your glass away from you for your own safety. 9 months ago we were relieved to stay up. 9 months later, despite losing both games we have been the better team for 45 and 70 minutes away to the current Champions League winners and runners up respectively. Maybe I'm too glass half full but we're only a killer instinct in front of goal and an extra 10 minutes of full fitness and concentration defending our own from challenging for those European places. I think our "South Coast rivals" will be a bit more concerned about avoiding relegation than us.
  25. Endlessly wandering the aisles of the convenience store that replaced it trying to find the juke box.
