37 so far this season.?!?!? Has the game really changed that much or is selective memory a condition of old age? I'm sure the likes of Terry Hurlock and Jimmy Case had made that many by half time in most games.🤣
-
Presumably works both ways and the likes of Jadon Sancho won't be going abroad any more to get game time, but admittedly the numbers coming to the PL far outweigh those going the other way

I think more of a case of equal fitness but being technically better makes a real look fitter. If their attacking passes/crosses are more accurate then that's less effort needed for their attackers to reach and/or control them. Less effort to do that leaves more energy for the subsequent killer pass and/or attempt on goal.

Surely Pfizer et al will come to their senses and divert their efforts to save the world from Covid into developing a cure for Scouse injuries. #priorities

I feared the worst when he announced last week he was shhutting down his social media. Instead we get great news like this. Loyal servant, new contract well deserved.

The mistake you're making is comparing buying Derby now, and adding on what it takes to get them to where Saints on now, with buying Saints now and keeping them where they are now. It's a bit like buying a run down house (Derby) on Homes Under the Hammer, paying just as much again top do it up, and making it worth well over your total expenditure,, or buying a decent house (Saints) and doing nothing to it except general maintenance and it's value stasys the same (ignoring general market inflation) What you should be comparing is buying Derby now and getting them to mid-table Premier League (increased value) against buying Saints now and getting them to Champions League regulars (increased value)

No it doesn't. It just sounds like sensible temporary postponement of non-essential projects until they can be more sure of their budget.

The trouble with seeing the list presented like that is you almost forget the odds are to actrually win the league and think of it as finishing league positions. You see, for example, Villa only 2 places us above us in the league at a fifth of our odds and think we have a good chance of ending the season above them, forgetting we have to finish not only above them but everyone else as well to get a payout. Having said that, it's a weird season so far, we are playing well, £10grand for the £20 I would have already said goodbye to this week if the pubs hadn't shut at 10 ...... it might just make the season more interesting. 😂
-
So it wouldn't even be a level playing field to start with, some teams getting paid more than others to participate. Sounds like it would have as much to do with sport as WWE wrestling. #ItsNotFootbalAnymore

Jesus, for the sanity of everyone else who has to read this shit (yes I lnow there's an ignore button) give it a fucking rest.

He must know he was lucky to get away with that. Hopefully will make him hesitate for a split second before committing himself next game, often that's all the time an attacker neds. Or even morehopefully the referees union will decide some karma is needed and be looking for any reason to right a wrong. One thing I would put money on, this won't be this seasons first 0-0 draw.
-
And then someone not realising why would have asked " Is he injured already then?" MLG gave the perfect answer.
-
Didn't it take something like 24 appearances for them first time round before he got his first win? You'd think 3-0 up with 20 minutes left it was a pretty safe re-debut 😂
-
Sounds like it might have been worth £15 to watch it ...... not that I ever even considered it at that price. Great point. Would have taken that at the start, could only dream of it at 0-2.
-
And presumably anyone that stumps up the cash will share the cost with several mates all turning up to watch, breaking the 6 persons in one place rule. Seeing as ManU & Liverpool were proposing £250m to the EFL and the clubs eventually agreed on nearer £50m, maybe the big 2 would like to give £100m each to BT & Sky in return for them broadcasting these games for free. (They're going to need to do something to regain any modicum of respect from fans of the other 18 clubs). In other news I'm just waiting for Elvis to fly past my house on a pig before going off to buy my Euromillions lotterty ticket

Doesn't matter. The other teams in the league we'd be left playing in would also see the same drop in wages/budget, so we'd be in a level playing field (ignoring bigger incomes from bigger crowds at some clubs). Wherever the Big6 end up would be where the "superstars" would end end up playing, but we'd be playing in a league where fans of every club could start each season thinking they had a chance of winning the thing. I know which one I'd prefer us to play in
-
Definiteley a case of the current "big boys" realising there are people out there looking to invest in the remaining clubs and are running scared that new money is going to start levelling the playing field. Even in the relatively short history of the PL we have only recently talked of a Big 6, before that it was only the Big 4. They're clearly worried that that could soon become a Big 10/12/whatever. Maybe they should allocate votes on current league positions - I'm sure the 2 Manchester clubs would be only too happy to agree 🤣
-
So it's Craig David, Lucy Pinder or Gavyn Davies. Think I know where I'd put my money out of those three.
-
Just seen that Robson-Kanu actually broke his arm against us on Sunday. How did he manage it? Only saw one replay but looked to me like he kicked his own wrist with his follow through.
-
I used to be like you. Then I realised all the accidents I heard about only ever happened to other people so I stopped worrying about it.
-
Everton now looking for a keeper to put pressure on Pickford (christ knows how bad he would look if he felt under pressure!) Well, as we're already talking to them anyway .....
-
For someone who takes his Fantasy Team pretty seriously this season so far is proving an absolute nightmare. In the real world it's looking like it could be the most enjoyable and interesting season for god knows how long, certainly since the PL started.

Is it tempting fate to suggest it's time to lock this thread?
