Definitely a mental (or attitude, if that's not the same thing) problem. Also a physicality problem. When was the last time we had a Saint Maximin / Michael Antonio* / Adama Traore brick shlt-house type player who you can give the ball to when you're under pressure knowing they will head for goal with the ball and any opposition trying to stop them are just going to bounce off them. *possibly MA was the last such player but we didn't keep him

Says a lot about the last few months that I am more excited about the new kit than I am our last match of the season, and I neven even buy them. Maybe it's because, like our performances we know roughly what to expect, unlike our performances there is still a chance we could be pleasantly surprised. Collating the various rumours it does sound like we are getting the Rank Xerox reverse kit. At least it's something different again, I'm happy with this current pattern of stripes one year, something a bit different the next. Feyenoord style half 'n' half and then a quarters shirt would be good too.

We'll be ok. Liverpool are facing a 50pts deduction for their fans political chanting.

Can't remember ever feeling this way before but ....

Have you not read the articles about this. I took it for a joke but seriously, it's for real. That is a deliberate tactic, the aim is to let the defenders head them clear whilst our boys hang back to win the second ball as it drops. I kid you not, the most ridiculous tactic I've ever heard, which possibly had some surprise element to it if we hadn't announced it to the world. EDIT: So ridiculous I have now double checked it wasn't an April Fools joke - it's not !

I'll start by saying I am ususally a glass half full guy. My one and only visit to SMS of the season ( seen plenty on tv/streams) along with 31587 others. My take away impression from the game was why the fuck do those other 28000 or so home fans keep turning up week after week to watch that? I'm old enough to have been a regular during (in order of preference) The LawrieMac Galacticos era, Chris Nichols shit or bust 424 era, The Koemanl/Pochetino seriously top 6 contenders era. If this game was representative of the entire season then that dross is down there with the Branfoot era. Anyone stay for the lap of apology? I can only imagine anyone that did would be ther sort that would clap and cheer regardless. I was probably halfway over the Itchen Bridge by then.

Still way too close to that weirdo

To be fair they should be winning games on fitness alone at the moment. Most of them hardly broke a sweat for the first 5 months of the season
-
Weird. Arsenal looking like total bottlers against the Toon. Losing every 50/50 and half of them don't seem to want the ball. Even their facial expressions look like they're scared to be there. Yet still they're level at 0-0.

BIB: Maybe they anticipated needing cover for all the red cards they are accruing at the moment.🤣

Hover over the note indicator against the Div 1 covering 92/93 - 2002.03. That was when the premier started, Div 1 was the new Div 2. That accounts for 11 of the difference. Edit @Nordic Saint and @Fabrice Fernandes no.1 fan got there before me AND they are counting season 39/40 on wiki - that lasted 3 matches 🤣 and 45/46 which was no league at all just FA Cup 🤣🤣🤣

I have a small outstanding bet on a Man City/Chelsea/Real Madrid treble. Wasn't going to risk much but it just seemed the right thing to do.
-
You forgot Che Adams, his confidence seemed sky high after he'd played a few MotM games for Scotland, now he's in and out of the team and looking disillusioned when he does play.
-
And is that any surprise? During that good spell we were effetively playing with 12 men against 11 , Romeu was covering the ground and doing the work that any other club would require 2 men to do. No way could he be expected to keep that up all season. Now his form (or fitness) has dropped back to that of a normal human being we are back to 11 v 11 and against most opposition we simply aren't good enough.
-
That's the only genuine part. It's something the new owner's insisted on trying out, if the shirts are printed backwards it will hopefully confuse the players into actually passing the ball forwards for once.
-
Good marketing ploy. Circulate a picture of the downright horriblest possible design anyone has ever come up with, then when we see the real one, whatever it is, we can genuinely think " well it could have been worse ..."
-
Due to land in Spain at 7pm on the night of the final. Might have to get myself a Los Blancos scarf before I go, I'd hate for the locals to think I want Liverpool to win.
-
Well as designs go that's 'armless enough.

Intersting views on the shoots or the kits ?
-
Obvously we can only start with 11 on the pitch, and for keepers it's even worse as they have no psitional flexibility, but anyone "happy" to play second fiddle in any postion should be shipped out asap. Nothing but determination to prove their worth as first choice should be acceptable.

As 0-0s go that was pretty eventful. 🤣 Good result for us too, mid table rival dropped 2 points, Everton rival increased their gap by 1 Question, the foul by the dugouts just before half time was clearly given by the 4th official. Is that allowed?

I thought that happens every year but the stats from @nta786 posted above prove it's not as often as I thought. But we've certainly been weak against lower teams for a long time now (under many different managers and playing squads) I don't think it's for lack of effort or complacency on our part. I put it down to us being a near permanent mid-table-mediocrity type team. The top teams - the regular champion league contenders - don't need to change their game for the likes of us, they are good enough to play their own game against anyone outside their little closed shop. We know what to expect from them and are able to raise and/or adjust our game to compete, usually (but not always) giving them a good run for their money if not coming away with the odd unexpected point or 3. The relegation battling teams see us as a "free-hit" team that they have a chance against and raise and/or adjust their game accordingly, and if they are really up for it are usually able to bully us (if not out play us) into defeat. And in most of those games - including yesterday - we start well but at some point the opposition seem to suddenly realise "we could have these" and we're gone. Seems like something none of our managers have been unable to combat or counter. Had those 4 defeats been the victories they should have been on paper we'd be just a point behind WestHam right now, and look how well the media tell us they are performing.

Maybe he's not noticed he's still on the pitch either.

Typical women, they've got an answer for everything 🤣
